Versailles Records Reviews
I paid Jake Brown/Versailles Records $115 in November 2013 for inclusion of one of my band's songs on a CD project entitled Savior Rock. We were to have our picture and bio in an accompanying booklet; the band's name on the CD cover, and receive 20 physical CD copies. We were told that the album would be sold digitally online, and that physical CDs would be sold in stores. The release date was to be in November 2014. It was not. The digital version was released in December of 2014, but no physical CD version. I was told it would be in January 2015, then March 2015. Lies.
Although the album is available digitally online, there has been no physical CD produced, and we've received nothing for our $115. The idea was to sell the CDs at our shows... we receive nothing for online sales, so we're simply out our money. I've tried to contact Jake several times and am being ignored. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and am waiting for a response. If I don't receive a full refund, I will file a complaint with the proper government consumer protectin agency.
JAKE BROWN IS A LIAR. He may well spout a reply about how many bands still work with him (well sure... not everyone knows he's a ripoff artist), and about other successful record projects he's done... WELL, BIG DEAL. Just because you don't rip EVERYONE off, it's doesn't mean it's ok to rip SOME people off and still consider yourself an honest businessman!
