I just wanted to leave this here so anyone who was direct marketed or contacted by Mike Rute or VBL will stay far away. I was telemarketed by "mike" who quicky toild me that he worked for google and was going to help my website rank. As a current Google adwords customer I thought it was odd that google was calling me from a local number and not a 800 number per our normal contact.
Mike then told me that for 200$ a month that he could gurantee I would be in the local maps and the organic area for as long as i paid him. Despite my fears I handed over my credit card and decided to see if he was for real. After about a month and actually seeing my website rankings and traffic actually get worse I decided to call him and ask questions. Turns out he doesnt work for google but some company called VBL which is just some marketing company.
Mike then swore up and down to just "give it time" I told him I did not want to be billed until I was on the front page of the search engines, He agreed that this was fair. But as soon as it had been 30 days he charged my card again and not for the number we talked about. I have since disputed the charges with my bank.This is a complete scam stay as afar away as possible. You should be ashamed of yourself "Mike".
