One star is not low enough. Don't believe these reviews. Look at Yelp. The yelp reviews are much more in line with our experience. There is an absentee owner. You will never meet him, receive an email nor phone call from the owner. What happens is the salesman Joe Cayton is the face of the company. Do not be fooled. Joe will draw you a pretty plan with no knowledge of city codes, and after you sign the contract, there will be delays, red tags, and excuses. He will draw you a plan that cannot be built as they are inexperienced and have poor or no knowledge of building codes. Beware what you sign. Next, they will high pressure you to sign the contract. He will be VERY available before the signing. Afterward? You will never hear from Joe until he shows up as the face of the company to ask for more money!! Venture/Joe demands more money post contract ( not change order) and attempts to hold you economic hostage. They are the builder. They draft the contract with the cost, after designing the pool on their laptop. The price they agree and you are bound by is not what they will build the pool for!
So what good is the contract by law as they demand more after they bid and start the job! RUN. This project is my biggest nightmare. I regret hiring them. This is a classic bait and switch. They sell a pool for one price and demand more money because of alleged unforeseen matters. They bid the price! It is over 33 percent greater than the contract bid. Interestingly, Joe offered to show their prior pools in the pre-sale stage. We looked forward to see the pools of happy customers. He could only show one pool! How can there be so many happy google reviews but only 1 customer will let us take a quick 2-5 minute look? That speaks volumes. Others must be so unhappy and want away from this company. Our project has had so many end dates. It starts out 2.5 months, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5 months for a small back yard pool? No end in sight!
Weeks at a time no one works. They show up maybe once a week, a few hours. The workers are shifty. Trash left all over my yard. No trade cleans up after itself. They use the concrete pool as a dumpster. Yard and pool full of construction trash! How can they build a superior product and use the pool and yard as a dumpster? They are the "pool experts," and should plan for Work, schedules, cost, timing, etc. Disorganized. No employees. Independent contractors. No control of the labor. The project manager has no power. FULL OF EXCUSES. We have asked for a copy of the pool plan for five months! Never given. Broke so many pipes, the first day! All my water gas irrigation etc busted. Days no communjcation. But all pipes water sewer gas busted?!! All the scheduling is done by a secretary Becky George who is arbitrary at best. You will be so sorry. Don't make a bad decision. This company is criminal.
DO NOT BELIEVE THESE GOOGLE REVIEWS. THEY HAVE TO BE FAKE. LOOK AT YELP. ECHOS WHAT WE EXPERIENCED. Run run run. I hope you seriously read this review. It is the truth. I hope to save another family from this tragedy.
