I had a terrible experience with Velente Miah and Meraki events. The company offer 7 day events at exotic locations for photo shoots to photographers and models . They ask for $1500 for shoots with images and $2000 with guaranteed publications. Every time I spoke with Velente his contacts with magazines would be different so In the end I did my own research to find legitimate contacts for the magazines and they confirmed they have no relationship with him due to issues in the past. Such names included Playboy and Maxim International as stated on his website but it does not say which specific country which is also a red flag. Velente also carried out a photo shoot at a rate of $1000 and then just disappeared with all of the images. Another model came forward to confirm the same happened to her. I would not recommend working with this photographer and to stay away from his events as they do not deliver the goods or services stated. Velente will quite happily take your money and then just disappear and block you so you can't pursue a refund. He is a total scam artist and his business is based on fraudulent claims to relationships he doesn't have.
