VectorVest, Inc. Reviews
Business refuses to provide cash refund for unused subscription and did not agree to let me use remaining service during a mutually agreable time
VectorVest's product is a complete fraud; one of the major attraction that I signed for is they offer is back testing, which they market on numerous videos as the "holy grail", a tool to see how a strategy perform in the past, so you can assume how it will perform in the future, so i followed several videos and performed back testing the very same way they did in the videos, but i came with completely different results, and when i called VectorVest about it, they told me the reason is because they add and remove stocks from their list every day, which mess up the back testing, they also don't count in the back testing for splits and mergers, etc. which also mess up the back testing, so bottom line the back testing is completely inaccurate, and a fraud, since they tout it as a reliable tool and it is
not.
I signed for 30 day trial for $9.95 which expire on 6-10-18 and additional trial for $29 for "robo trader" which expire on 6-29-2018 and include also derby/derby club/real-time; I called them on 6-8-18 to cancel my trial and asked for my money back, they were very rude and obnoxious, especially Ms. Boston, whose real name is Lisa Jamiol, but for some reason she is giving a false name, so I asked her not to cancel and wait until the following day since i had more time in my trial, but without my knowledge she canceled my service and I lost access to my account, and when I called the following day they were rude again when I asked for my money back.
I paid $29 to use the service until 6-29-2018 and they canceled my account on 6-8-18 so i would like to have my money back, the $9.95 plus $29.
The truth is I was expecting better customer service from Vectorvest, and i was shocked to find out how nasty they are.
I've know this company for years and how they do not put info on their site about cancelling your subscription. I know of traders who have coomplained about them before. When you send an email to cancel, they wait two days and say you have to call them. All other trading research companies give you specific instructions, easily accessable on their site to cancel. I wanted to use their research reports, which is good (not their advice for sure), so I signed up for the 5 week subscription. I cancelled a day before the last day to cancel and sent them an email to cancel.
I didn't hear from them so I sent another email asking of it was cancelled. They said they I had to call. So I called and was told it was cancelled. The guy I spoke to never said they charged me again. Right before I hung up I asked to make sure and he said they charged me. I explained that I was within the 5 week period. He said he had no authority to cancell me and was giving it to his supervisor. After never hearing back, and send ing emails again, I was told "sorry" it's too late, but if you can show where you send an email to us we will credit you. So I send in the email sent 4/20th -trial started 3/19th and then they say I was on a 30 day trial. I had to send an email showing I was on a 5 week trial. Then they acknowledge I sent an email on the 20th but still were charging me. So let's see 1st they don't make it easy to cancel, they the say they didn't get the email, then they lie about my trial period, then they say my 4/20 email isn't good enough. This is fraud.
A trial period for a refund should be honored. I will continue to post this complaint anywhere I can, untill they refund me. I will get a refund from my cc company when I show them the emails anyway, but this company has sunk to the lowest. They even have their "sure fire" way to quarantee profits trading stocks. What a joke. Stay far away from this company unless you want your cc to be charged for months that you didn't use the service.
It is very complicated with lots of colors, bells and whistles to make it look good but it offers nothing different than anything else. They will personally phone you & ask your entire financial history even though you state you are not interested in day trading or their program. When you try to quit they will send an email to phone them. You end up getting charged for one month at about $69 to your credit card so don't even bother starting.
