Vatterott College Reviews

I thought I was going to get my Medical Assistant through Vatterott chose online classes which they offered . I did all the book work completed with a GPA of 3.93. The next requirement was to get my hands evperiance through a facility (extermship). They told me I would have to do that in my area or come to one of there locations. They dont have one in Washington State.

So that leaves me up and moving for 20 weeks. I have kids and a job. well they didn't tell me that untill the end of all my book work and now that I spent a year and half doing work and spending money on classes they told me I could get my medical billing and coding. Mind you they enrolled me in MA classes. I have saved every email from them have tried getting my official transcripts ( which are not creditable at a college anyways.)

They say I owe them money and I'm the one paying for classes I took through them that I cant use for nothing and making my credit go bad because I still have to pay for more schooling to start over. I want answers. This school should not be in bussiness no more. I went to there web site chated with people there and they tell me now 2 years later they dont have MA and medical billing and coding online classes. I was there ginny pig

I have tried to get my student loans discharged since vatterott over charged me on loans and unable to obtain work due to deficit in training from college. the cost is 3x the normal charge per semester. I have 23,0000 in student debt I cant even get a job to pay back the college closed and filed bankruptcy.

I began my first journey with Vatterott back in 2005 or later, I spoke with admissions and told them what I wanted to do as far as a career which was Computer Forensics. They put me in a program which was Computer Technology which was fine at the time I spent 60 weeks in that program and once I graduated I was not able to get any job but at Convergys paying $9.00 hourly. I received a diploma for the 60 week program.

Then I spoke with another admission perosn years later when I was ready to continue my education and instead of directing me in a program where I wold receive an Associate degree at least I was directed into another diploma program. This time I was put in the Information System Security program I also spent 60 weeks in that program. I graduated on the Deans List and after school spoke with people from the school whom barely knew how to write a resume.

They sent me over resumes that were horrible and could not get the attention of any job. I graduated in 2012 with this diploma and now I have yet to find a job in any of those fields. I decided I would go back to school and maybe transfer some of my credits over to a regionally accredited school to join the police academy or maybe the fire fighter academy.

My credits won't transfer so its like I am starting over from the bottom which was fine at one point. Then I was hit with the news that I am at the limit in loans so now 30 credits in I have to stop going to school. Vatterott is to expenisive and was a total waste of my time and money and I don't feel myself or others should have to pay for this.

The education I received at Vatterott College in Sunset Hills Missouri was not what I expected it to be. I took a building maintenance course which was divided into different sections like Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Motor Repair. I went to the college for 1 1/2 years and the hours were from 8-1 Monday thru Thursday. First let me say that I feel the classrooms were overfilled and only 1 teacher was not sufficient to teach all these young minds. Second of all, there was not 1 day out of the year and a half that I stayed a full day of 8-1. All the teachers I had would let us out as early as 11 but not later than 12 when we were suppose to attend till 1 everyday. I feel I lost a lot of learning hours during my studies because teachers didn't keep their end of the bargain.

I also was on the Deans List and had Perfect Attendance during my time at the school. The facility also had a shop which was not up to par as far as technology goes. During my attendance our class was insturcted to move all the gas and electric furnaces over to a new facility they were buying which is not a great way to be educated in my opinion. The testing was another problem at the school which included cheat sheets for every student in the classroom. I never seen where the cheatsheets were coming from but as many as there were floating around I had to suspect the teachers were passing them out every semester. I'm not kidding, cheat sheets that were word for word on the test.

So much wrong with this process, the only jobs available after graduating were entry level apartment jobs that didn't offer a decent wage and overworked the technician everyday. Not my idea of a career job and no follow up with me to see if I needed job placement or just if I needed any assistance in anyway. My cost for the subpar education is 30 thousand dollars. I have not landed a decent job since graduating and I don't plan on it either. I can only see me defaulting on this loan no thanks to Vatterott.

Vatterott is a joke of a educational instituion. They told me that my back ground would not hinder me from getting a job upon graduation claiming they called and asked local businesses and they said they would still hire me. Afteri graduated i applied to EVERY hvac business in Quincy and didnt get a single interview. When i did inquire about my application I was told that they only hire people with a year of feild experience and they couldnt hire me anyway because of my back ground.

When i asked vatterott which companies said they would hire me they said they dont remember specifically but to apply to every one in the area. I told them I have and gotten no where. they said sorry keep trying. When I asked what companies hire grads with no experience they said I would have to ask around. I owe 22,000 in student loans and have yet to work a single day in the hvac field. I graduated in may 2011!!!
