Vacation Village Resorts and Affiliates Reviews
I was sold a cruise trip to the Bahamas and apart of that agreement we had to attend a seminar where they sold timeshares. We agreed even though we weren't interested because we were going to the Bahamas for $600. A party of two with paid hotel stay in the Bahamas, we were very excited. When we attend the seminar we were very firm on the fact that we weren't interested in a timeshare we are still young and it was too expensive $24,000, something around that price. That's very expensive, we both said no. As we were getting ready to leave a gentle men by the name of Anthony approached us and said he has a one-bedroom timeshare for $3500 that was previously owned by his daughter and he would sell it to us at that price. He stated that the payments would be $75 a month with 3 payments of $253 for the tile and deed. Still very firm on the fact that we don't want to buy one he said "what if I told you, you could go anywhere in the world for $280.00"he also said "he was selling us a ski resort in Massachusetts" We love traveling and for $280.00 to go anywhere in the world who wouldn't buy it? Now our eyes lid up and thought wow that's a great deal, no! and excellent deal. Now we were interested, we were eager to know more at this point, he stated "that the taxes and maintenance fees are $450 a year", he stated that we were purchasing one week and would receive 2 extra weeks for free. We can't travel the world for $280, should have know it was too good to be true! I called Patriot suites many times and complained about that fact that I'm not getting what I'm sold and their response is you signed a contract. That doesn't take away from the fact that they sold me fraud, my home resort is not a ski resort and I found that out in January of 2016 when I called about the maintenance and tax bill that I received. It's just a resort in Massachusetts that was the last straw for me. Not only was I told I could go anywhere in the world for $280 I was told I was being sold a ski resort and I received neither.I have a friend by the name of Kerry that went on the same cruise at the same time and purchased the same timeshare deal of $3500.00 and was also told that he could go anywhere in the world for $280.00 and that he was receiving a ski resort. I wouldn't have thought I was being scammed so I should research the timeshare I'm being sold. Berkshire mountain Lodge sounds like a ski resort so I didn't think I was being lie to where I needed to research. I don't think its right, I was told something and sold something else because I can go anywhere in the world for the same price without having a timeshare. If we don't come to some type of understanding I will proceed to take this to court because I have reached out many times to try and settle and no one cares.
