To Whom it may concern, A week or so ago my wife and I went to grand view resorts Las Vegas. We were met by a very unfriendly nasty bad attitude rude from the get go woman named LYNDA MELVOIN. Not only was it a hot and long day without any consideration or concern about our discomfort. And we thought the tour was bad. Her language and demeanor was beyond uncouth. She was so bad that she has inspired me to not only write you about this but I will be posting/tweeting and writing complaint letters to every last person agency I can think of from Yelp to any timeshare review company including the bbb.

In my 60 plus years of life myself and my wife have never had such a horrific experience from anyone ever let alone from some one trying to sell us a product. I will not go into more details with you now. I will save that for the public. Reason, because it is your company that choose to hire her leaving me to assume this behavior is acceptable within your company. I will just describe our sales room experience. When we finally get to the sales room and sit down for the "pitch" Lynda proceeds to tell us how we can make positive cash flow from our timeshare purchase today. By renting it out "it's easy and I can show you how, I do it and make a good extra income from it".

Said also said"we will triple our investment in one year on this 27k 2 bedroom purchase. What a great investment it's going to be". To keep this short for I feel you will do nothing about this and I am wasting my time. We told her we were not interested. LYNDA MELVOIN then said"what are you stupid" perplexed we looked at one another and repeated not interested. She than raised her voice as to embarrass us and said this " are you fn stupid I own a lot of these, my company won't let me buy anymore units because I am an employee. If your going to be so fn stupid just sign here and I will buy it back from you and rent it myself". Unbelievable!!! My wife since has done some research on the Internet and found out we are not alone. (Google Lynda Melvoin) Here is a link for you.

False comments

Low class obnoxious people like you, who come into a timeshare presentation, Knowing full blown what it’s about because you don’t have the money to buy or you decide you don’t like the sales person you attack the sales person and not the company? how was your demeanor were you rude and disrespectful to the sales person? Were you obnoxious and mean? Did you swear at the sales person? I think you did all of the above! How dare you post defamatory information I am an attorney representing Ms. Melvoin we are looking into who you are we know who you are and we will be filing charges of defamation against you! You will learn the posting these type of defamatory Comments are not true, they can cost you rather than you attacking an innocent sales person that works for major company attack the company if you don’t like their tactics or what you consider their alleged antics, however you are on tape and we could see how obnoxious you behaved! Looking forward to seeing you in court!

BEWARE !!!!! STAY AWAY!!! DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY!!! We were tricked into a few hours TIMESHARE presentation at this resort.!!! I regret we ever stayed there, from the first conversation at the front desk...ALL LIES !!! Their methods used to describe and sell the timeshare were misleading, fraudulent, and deceptive.

We purchased the timeshare in December 2015, the sales rep. Mrs. Eileen Luyando told us many things that we found out later that she lied about. What we paid for isn't what we got. She purposefully lied to us through out the whole tour/presentation. We were continiously misguided and manipulated into signing legal documents. After hours of inacurate information given by the sales rep. we were too tired (especially our daughter), to question or look closely at pages and pages we were rushed to sign.

We have written and called the timeshare company and they respond with the fact that we are past the rescission date and they take no resposibility over their employees actions. We were never told about the cancelation period. The sales rep. made sure we did not try to inquire about the claims she did for weeks. Insisting we should wait till we receive our membership packet. When we discover this is not what we paid for and wanted to get out, she told us to wait, because the resort will call us with offers to rent and that she will help us eventually sell the unit. ALL LIES !!!!!

We were made us belive that we are buying an exclusive members-only, in high-demand, resort timeshare. In reality anyone can book Vacation Village at Parkway, Kissimmee, at travel sites for a fraction of the cost we are paying. Many times during the sell presentation she told us how valuable the timeshare was and that it was only going to be worth more. She told us when we bought it that the unit was worth twice what we are paying. There was going to be built a mickey shaped pool and an infinity pool. Also there is the expansion of Disney Star Wars theme park and it would greatly increase the value of the resort.

The biggest lie was how she encouraged us to view the timeshare as a rental income opportunity. She told us over and over that the timeshare would pay for itself. She wrote and calculated a table how much money the timeshare will bring. She said that our week, Thanksgiving week, can bring $2400 for a one bedroom and we can get double for a two bedroom. We were leery about the deal still. We asked how hard it is to sell the timeshare. She told us not to worry. She told us specifically to wait until our membership cards came in the mail before we decided to do anything with the timeshare. She purposely misguided us because this caused us to miss the opportunity to uncover all inaccurate information.

We can always call her because she knows people in real estate that deal in timeshare specifically; but why would we want to? We told her how complicated it seems and she assured us how she will help us. She told us that Vacation Villages will call us with offers to rent the week. Again she mentioned the amount of money this would bring in. We called at a later point in time and she said she didn’t remember us and didn’t return our calls when we asked for the name of the real estate person she told us about.

AGAIN, We had no chance to think about the purchase or do research about what we were getting into. Polish is our native language and although we speak English fluently, the sales rep. and her manager took advantage that sometimes (with legal terminology, for instance) we don’t understand fully what is said. We were pressured and lied to !!!

Grandview-El Dorado Resorts Re: Grandview at Las Vegas/El Dorado Resorts Corp Loan #07884085707 Unit #042101 Week #4

To Whom It May Concern

I am a disabled US Marine Corps Veteran, live on Social Security disability and work part time.. My wife Maricar and I visited Las Vegas last January 2017 and took a tour of the timeshares at The Grandview at Las Vegas which is owned by El Dorado Resorts out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Even though our sales representative Marylou Gueco did not have us sit down and figure out our budget, it has become very clear that we cannot afford to keep our timeshare, or we will go bankrupt. Our sales agent. told us that they have in house loans, so that we would not have to apply for credit. We believe that in-house credit is used, so that people don’t have to look at their budget and figure out that they really cannot afford their timeshare.

It also seems that since the loan is internal, the resort is just lending itself the funds and therefore, no money is ever paid to an independent 3rd party. Therefore, they are making the 17.9% interest from actually never paying out any real funds. We feel that this fits the description and spirit of Predatory Lending, where Grandview/El Dorado makes a loan to benefit themselves, but harms a lender who cannot afford the loan. We have also just found out that even though we would pay $26,990 in total for this timeshare, if we were to try and sell it, we would be lucky to get 10-15% at most for what we would pay, if we were able to sell it at all.

Check the historical sales records and see for yourself what I am saying. Our sales agent told us over and over that we could rent our 2-unit timeshare out for the 2 weeks stated and for all the 80,000 points given each year, which represents another 8 weeks. She also told us not to mention this to anyone and that she would tell us how to do this later. Then when it came time to actually tell us how to do the renting, all she told us was to build a website to advertise it and list it on Craig’s List. She did not tell us that there are 1000’s of other people already doing this and left us holding the bag. Marylou Gueco is Filipino and so is my wife Maricar. She used that connection to get my wife and me to trust her. It worked. She also told us that all gifts, unlimited owners’ rights and other extras were only good, if we made the purchase the same day. We were also told that we would always be able to use our points to stay at 1000’s of other timeshares across the country and around the world. Yet, when I tried to find a timeshare to stay in at San Diego/Coronado area, there was not one I could use. I finally had to write to the President of El Dorado about this and was then provided with a silver fish infested room at the Coronado Beach Resort. Finally, we were never given a current and complete copy of the Public Offering Statement. We feel that we have been scammed from start to finish and want Grandview/El Dorado to take back their timeshare, give us our money back and not try to get us to pay for something that is just about worthless. Sales Agent told us we could rent our unit for $2000-2500 per week as inducement to buy Fort Lauderdale Florida

Time Share Ownership scam and marketing scam, to make some more money out of you, even though they make it look like they are helping you to make some money. The tactics utilize are scared tactics and they are scaming Seniors and Veterans, as well as minorities making it looks like they are getting free Vacations, when you are not, because you still have to pay for the week or weeks you want to take and they vary in price by location. You also had to pay maintenance fees and RCI membership every year. Also, they told me that my extra weeks accumulate and this past month I found out is not true and I only have two years of this promotions and each week has expiration date if you do not take right away. I am finding out that all the information they gave me was incomplete or a fib. If the owner that started this was a Veteran and he is not aware of this scam, he need to know, but if he knows, he need to be prosecuted for fraud. I pay the down payment with credit cards and took a personal loan from USA A of 12,000 to pay it in full.
