Was convinced to give them $5,000 to give us access to their huge discounted rental properties all over the world. For example, could rent a room for a week on Maui for $400, when normally the same room is $600 per night. Figured over the lifetime of using this we would save enough on vacations to warrant the expensive deposit.
However, once we started trying to use the website it was obvious this was a scam. The discounts are no better than any other online search engine, however, with Vacation-Breeze you typically can't even find anything avaiable unless you're willing to travel the next week. I should have listened to my wife when she said this was not worth it.
Now we are out $5,000 and we have never been able to use this scam to save us any money. The discounts don't even cover the annual fee that is required to stay a member. I should have submitted a claim immediately, but now it has been 2.5 years since we signed up. Is there any hope of a refund. This is embarrasing.
They make promise that you will be able to book rooms at half the cost, not true. They also claim that the have locations all over, not true. The only thing is true that is promised to you is the cost of the software and all the fees that goes along with it, and how you are locked into a contract with no way out..
We were approached on the street our first evening after dinner to attend a free breakfast to learn about a great opportunity for future vacations. We were there Oct 22-30, 2013.
Upon arrival at the designated room in the building, there was a Vacation Breeze person there which told us that we could not talk to any of the other prospective persons about the deal we might make or that they may have made. We just waited for our designated group to enter the room. There were a dozen or so tables for various couples to sit at and watch the presentation. The Representative which provided a really nice presentation of the wonderful places we could go for a flat weekly rate which was a fraction of the price that people not belonging to Vacation Breeze would pay.
They showed us dreamy places to go. I was interested primarily in ONE THING that they said because I always wanted to go to Bora Bora, Tahiti and stay in one of those huts on the water as advertised. They told us about the membership which was $9,999.00. They told us about this wonderful website and how each member got their own Userid and Password to research and make their own reservations. They apparently had a sales rep go to every table and speak with each couple there. The rep showed us these wonderful places on his laptop that we could go to and how easy it was to use and how inexpensive it was buy getting an inexpensive weekly rate. The sales representative was having problems accessing various different things and said that they were having computer problems that day. I specifically wanted to see the deals on the room/huts at Bora Bora, Tahiti and the prices and descriptions. He still had problems and explained that when I got my own UserId and Password it would be easier for me and there was telephone support if I needed it. During first five minutes of this time period a sales rep stood up and announced that they had their first new family member of Vacation Breeze and announced the couple’s names and everyone was expected to clap. After several more minutes another rep made a similar announcement. I told the rep that I could not afford anything like that and he coaxed us to sit and wait until he got his supervisor. During this time period. After a period of time, he lowered the price. I still told the rep that I could not afford anything like that. During this period, a few reps made announcements of NEW families joining the Vacation Breeze Family. They brought yet another person to speak with us. I told him the same thing. They brought us into another room and offered us a great DEAL. IT was STILL Too Expensive. The pressure continued. He left and came in with someone else. He finally offered us instead of the four weeks offered, only two weeks for only $2,750.00. I finally agreed to sign the contract and put the amount on my Visa Card Credit Card. The representative flew through the paperwork rushing me though each paragraph. We were already there HOURS more than I had expected.
During the signing process, I was told that Vacation Breeze voluntarily EXTENDED the mandatory 3 Business day right of cancellation to one week from the date of the signed contract. We finally signed the contract to go get the breakfast and start enjoying our vacation. Later that evening I was looking over the paperwork and realized that they had not given us our UserId and Password that allowed us to enter the site that the Sales Representative showed us and was using. I had been told by the representative that I would be able to look over the website myself and make sure that I was thoroughly pleased with it and if not, I could cancel. There was no way that I could access this website to see what was actually available for the $2,750.00 that I had just paid for. I was extremely frustrated. The next morning I went back to the address that I had gone to for the presentation and wanted to speak with the sales rep who sold it to me. After a lengthy period of time and what seemed to be a runaround, I was then told that the UserId and Password had to come from the parent company in Florida and that they would not send that information out to my home address until after they had received the Vacation Breeze paperwork and package that I purchased. I asked him what if I don’t like it at that point and he assured me that all would be fine and that I had a week from the date of purchase to cancel. I told him I wasn’t even getting home from Hawaii until a week after I purchased it on Oct 30th. He assured me that there would be no problems and that I would be happy and should I want to cancel I would have no problems. I was still frustrated and wanted to get on with my vacation there instead of spending more HOURS of Hawaii Sunshine indoors arguing. I got home on October 30th and On November 2, 2013 I received an email with my UserId and Password. I could not find anything on the room/huts at Bora Bora, Tahiti and called the Vacation Breeze. They told me at times it is hard to find things to just keep on looking. After a couple days of frustration, I found some hotels in Bora Bora, Tahiti on the site with exorbitant DAILY RATES, NOT THE WEEKLY RATES THAT I WAS PROMISED IN THE PRESENTATION and by the Sales Representative. I called Vacation Breeze about November 5th, 2013 to try to cancel this Absurd Vacation Rip-off Package and I was told that I had exceeded the one week time period from the date that I had purchased it on Oct 23rd, that I had neglected to provide a cancellation notice in writing within that first week from Oct 23rd to Oct 30th. I was told that there was no way that I could cancel get my $2,750.00 back and that should I not want to continue to be a member of the Vacation Breeze family, I could just not pay the annual renewal fee and my contract would be voided. With that I would lose ALL THE MONEY I HAD PAID. In 2014 the Annual Fee was automatically charged to my credit card. In 2015, The IHG Visa card managed by Chase Bank was changed to a Master Card with a new credit card Number. Mid Point in 2015 I was contacted to pay my annual fee in advance and I paid until I could figure out how to get out of the original contact so I did not lose EVERYTHING. I AGAIN requested to get my contract cancelled and I was told that I COULD NOT. To this date, I can get NO COOPERATION from Vacation Breeze. I have NEVER used ANYTHING. Whatever dates I ever tried to put in there was not ever anything compatible. I have ALWAYS found better deals with American Airlines Vacations (FREE) or Costco Vacations also (FREE). Or even Expedia.com (FREE). Vacation Breeze is a total RIP OFF and they NEVER lived up to the hype in the presentation and I feel the entire thing was a FRAUD. If I had been able to log in during that first three business days or even the first week, I WOULD HAVE CERTAINLY CANCELLED IT.
THIS ENTIRE VACATION BREEZE PACKAGE IS A SCAM ! ! ! I have often thought that those people who signed up for the $9,999.00 during the initial presentation were just a PLANT, to get others to sign up. We were lied to, we were duped and scammed by Vacation Breeze from the beginning and then not allowed to cancel our contract and get any money back..
PLEASE HELP. I WANT TO CANCEL AND GET SOME OF MY MONEY BACK PLEASE.
These f****** have to pay to GOD what they owe to the PPL. They think they can run away from the system & by taking signs from the ppl and their money. But one day all these scabs have to pay it. They showed nice videos and hired a professional speaker to just attract the ppl and take their signs. I paid $6000 to them and now they charging every year $149 to active your account. The services they promise that will be cheap than any other agencies are frikkin expensive than other free internet services. These mother fukkers are shame for Hawaii and United States. These all f****** are suppose to be behind jails. Innocent ppl listen their attaractive lecture and joins after that they even dont pikup the phone. If any one sueing them please let me know too.
Signed on in Hawaii when we were on holidays. Offers sounded reasonable and easily accessible.
On our return to Australia we tried to book our "first family vacation" which was to be funded by $500 reimbursement in a Luxury Resort Condo! There were no Luxury condos in Australia that matched what they showed us when we signed on!
we then inquired about one of the overseas deals offered to Cuba. I received an email from them that said we would get back to you as it is too soon to book his holiday now! They never got back to us.
next we saw a trip to South America that we wanted to take. We contacted the company, we were sent an email by an agent who said she'd ge back to me. She didn't. I sent her an itinerary of the trip we wanted, she said they had that trip they would get back to me! They didn't. I was told they had to contact their Australian agent to work it out.
i suggested she give me the Australian agent and I would personally contact them. No reply, no response, no email, nada!
i then started ringing the Hawaiian office to contact Michael Balick who gave me his "personal number" to ring if we had difficulty. Left messages, no response! No contact. Nada!
