I worked for Matt and Rhonda Aylward at US Marketing Source for several months as a call center rep. My job consisted of cold-calling consumers in Louisianna, Georgia, Kansas, Indiana, Kentucky, and Colorado. We were on a dialer software that automatically called prospective clients for a free "All State & Farmers Insurance quote" via live transfer to a local agent.
After a few weeks of working for this company, you will start to learn several things from what you hear, see, and read online. I must say, i've been in the workforce for many years now, and I've never felt like I was apart of a scam company. Until I started working for US Marketing Source of Edwardsville, IL.
The owner Matt Aylward, his Mom Rhonda, and His wife Whitney make up the management of this poorly run company. Matter of fact, knowing what I know now, I consider it to be nothing more than a pyramid scheme! A scam company tightly managed by family members!
US Marketing Source has their "salesmen to sell leads" to unsuspecting insurance agents and then pay "work from home reps" to "cold call these leads" and then "live transfer the prospective customer to an insurance agent for a quote."
These leads are no good! I've seen and heard of All State and Farmers agents who never even recieved the leads they bought, nor did they recieve their money back. US Marketing just took their money and ran. This can be verified by checking out their reviews on Google, Yelp, BBB and Indeed.
Matt the owner is very abusive, belitteling and narcisistic! He has no integrity and does not care about the agents or his employees! It's ALL about him and the almighty dollar! Believe that!! He's also a compulsive liar! That's no exaggeration!
The turnover rate at US Marketing Source is out of bounds! Rediculous amount of people come and go. Most work a few days and quit because of the lack of traning, abuse and poor management. You will never recieve a pay stub, and you will be paid approx. 32-33 hours per 5 day work week. You're working 40 hours minus 30 minutes per day for lunch, but your check will only be for 33 hours at most per week. Their dialer system is designed to maximimize their profits, and minimize your paycheck.
You will never be considered an employee of US Marketing Source. You're a 1099 contractor. No W/2. You will never be backgrounded checked either. That's scary for these poor consumers looking for a free insurance quote, and having no telling who listening on mute while the insurance agent gives the quote.
Address. Driver's License Number. Birth Date... Etc! US Marketing Source started in 2018. That's when they were forced to close "Prestige Marketing." This was the former company (Prestige Marketing) they had to close due to bankruptcy and negative reviews.
Dear Insurance Agent - Steer Clear! This is a scam company, and you're putting consumers at risk!
Dear Prospective Employee - Beware! This is a pyramid Scheme that will not end good for you. You will be lied to, abused, belittled, under payed and eventually fired. That's how it is with US Marketing Source!
I am going to keep this brief as there are plenty of other reports of this that go into TREMENDOUS detail of this..."company." This company was formerly known as Prestige Management and was located in Wood River and for some odd reason, Granite City also pops up. Before I go any further, I just have to laugh at the rebuttals. Clearly they're from the Aylward family and their friends and man, is the grammar and spelling POOR. Prestige Management has a Better Business Bureau rating of an F. Now if that's not telling, then I don't know what is!Okay, so why am I talking about a now defunct company? Well, as afirementioned, US Marketing Source is Prestige Management's INCARNATE! They just changed the name that's all. Same company, same b******* script, and same b******* management just now under a different name.
Now about the company as if written by Matt the Co-owner IF he was HONEST!!! Here at US Marketing Source, we are greedy, corrupt, and questionable individuals. Working with us is a huge gamble. We sell leads lists to agents that may or may not work. You may either have a winning hand of black jack or a losing one. To me it doesn't matter as all I want is YOUR MONEY. A good chance in this gamble is the leads list we sell you in fact, turns up empty. I have my representatives spout the spiel about these leads being 100% exclusive which, ha, ha, couldn't be the furthest from the truth. And when we speak to you about how many leads we can give you, we bullsh!t and pull up leads out of thin air as we pretend to type on the computer looking up imaginary sources concerning the leads list we're shilling to you. Anything in enthusiasm don't believe. We scammed A LOT of insurance agents out of their money and we don't shy away from trying to prey on financially struggling insurance agents. We actually had to close our first marketing business as we went BANKRUPT. However, Prestige Management AND US Marketing Source are the SAME. We didn't even change our scummy script! Now I'm just counting down the days when we will have to be on the run again and shutdown US Marketing Source due to going bankrupt. AGAIN. "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again. and expecting different results." -Albert Einstein- Which is exactly what Matt and his mommie dearest, Rhonda are doing.
So, about working for Us Marketing Source? There were RED FLAGS which I stupidly ignored... 1st Red Flag: High turnover rate 2nd Red Flag: NO DIRECT DEPOSIT only CHECKS (which very well could BOUNCE!) 3rd Red Flag: Poor management. Constantly warned about MATT 4th Red Flag: Finding out you're selling a fraudulent service to decent hard-working people. As what former employees have put about Matt throwing a petulant tantrum like a little baby and the screaming he does, it just makes me think that he never grew up. As in all honesty, he resembles an overfed baby in a man's body. I'll even go further to say that there is NO encouragement whatsoever (despite all of the positive sayings found on the walls and above doors), and deprecating not to mention intelligence-insulting talk which I got mostly from Rhonda. I look at this place and it's highly depressing. You know, it's just so sad that such a beautiful building is used for such immoral work and houses verbally abusive owners and sad desperate employees. It is just a matter of time before US Marketing Source goes bankrupt...
I was only there for a very brief time, it didnt take me long to realize that the company did not care about their employees or their clients... The sales Manager Monica referred to her clients as "her next victims" She came into the office always smelling of drugs and the entire sales staff would comment about how the entire office smelled like a dirty ashtray/skunk after she walked into a room. There is nothing wrong what someone does outside the office, but to start the day like that at least 4 days a week was uncalled for.
On several occasions she was asked to go to the bath room and put purfume on. She was bossy, arrogant, and did not offer one bit of constructive help unless it benefited her... she just expected to get a piece of the money of anyone that had to sit in her office for more than a day. Literally, half the employees quit while I was there because they could not take her hypocricy, and the other half that stayed has no respect for her.
Now for the worst of it. This company is a shadow of its former self.
Back in 2016, It was called Prestige Marketing out of Woodriver Illinois, look up the horrible reviews on indeed..., and the two owners... a mother and son team, had over 250 employees and ran the company into bankruptcy. If that company was so good to its employees, then why is not one of them except Monica working for them? Here is the reason... The owner Matt and his mother Rhonda truly belittles their employees..they only could keep family members working there...and the uncle was so drunk most the time, you couldnt even sit by him in a meeting because he smelled like a dirty whiskey factory....both two top salesmen, Monica and the uncle, neither had a car and had to get rides to work...so that is what a long term career with these folks looks like.
The management style is completely stressed out and both mother and son take it out on the salesmen at 80% of all their meetings....You are told that you must have greed in your heart in order to be a good salesmen there and that most people who buys these lists dont even use them. If you were in a positive mood before you walked in the door in the morning, you would literally feel down and depressed after one of their closed door meetings. Although the most salesmen that worked there I saw at one time was around 8 employees... I saw over 6 people quit in under a month. The place is a revolving door.
Matt, the ceo, did his best not to yell at his employees, but that is just his nature, and if he came in hungover at work, there would be hell to pay. In which was several days a week. If he would get help and quit the drinking, demote his manager to an employee, take classes on anger management, and treat his employess with respect, he will have a good name. Sure, he can still make money and continue doing what he is known for, and the loathing arrogance within,... but doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is by definition: insanity. Peace of mind and integrity far outweighs the fear of a leap of faith to have a better life. In which working there, was a very miserable experience.
What seemed like a repeat transaction has turned into me being scammed out of $500. About a year ago, I bought a lead list from a company called Prestige. That list was actually fairly decent. Not perfect, but had some good contacts on there.
Fast forward, I started getting phone calls from a new contact at US Marketing Source, saying the Prestige had changed names due to ownership changes. They elaborate a bit to say former partners had split, so Prestige closed and US Marketing Source was the new company with only the one partner.
I passed on the first round of leads because I was still working the old list. This time around, when they started calling, I decided to give it a try with a new list. I agreed to a $500 payment, and was supposed to have the list within 48 hours. This was exactly how it went previously, with no glitches. Everything was the exactly the same, aside from the name being different.
They day I was supposed to get the leads, I called the sales gal...no answer. Emailed her...no response. I called the number in her email and on the website...no answer at any of the options listed. I called first thing thing the following business day. I emailed the receptionist, info@ email and the sales person. No response. Nobody answred any phones. Nothing.
I have no seen a list and have not gotten a single contact. I filed a fraud report with my bank and they will hopefully get it reviewed. I am not holding my breath. It's disappointing because I'd already worked with this company before. Or, I suppose what was formally the company and is now some fraudulent company using the same name/tactics.
I would strongly discourage anybody from doing business with them. Heck, it's not business, it's a scam. Until I see a list, some sort of explanation, and something to prove me wrong, I just got my butt handed to me by a scam company. I should have seen it coming.
