My name is Christian Shank i am writing in regards to Us Bank relia card, my account has been frozen for three months now, I have called many different numbers as well as submitted all documents required a selfie of myself numerous times and yet nothing has yet to be done to fix the issue. Everyone I have spoken to has been extremely rude and very unprofessional. My family and I are literally about to be homeless do to this issue and I just don't understand why Nothing is being done to help, all I want is to be able to take care of my family.

I called requested a transaction review was told had transactions that were not transactions but pos holds and canceled card on false information that I needed to disbute charges. Meanwhile there are no charges for disbute when received new card need identity documents verified before an activation. I submitted 3 Fax's 1 every week and still they have not unlocked my account or allowed me access to my money. Almost 2 months now representives have lied to me about the state and what is the current status as well as them hanging up on me after put on hold or saying they are a supervisor and indeed they are not.

They have stated they would put in tickets or notes and they have not. My family including 5 children are currently homeless and finally after months been approved for a home due to move in a couple weeks, only if can pay utility connection. If unresolved and dont gain account access to my money, we will lose this home. Praying the ficu department gets me access ASAP for my children and family future stability is at state.

EI’ve been locked out of my unemployment funds that are paid through US Bank Reliacard. A month ago, they said there was fraudulent activity on my card. So, they issued me a new card.

The 1st problem, in a very long list, is two of the cards would not activate so I had to wait for a third card. It usually takes 5-7 business days for the card to arrive.

September 17th the 3rd card arrived and I activated it. It was active for one day, and then declined at the grocery store. After a week of numerous phone calls and waiting on hold for 4-5 hours at a time, I was told there had been a freeze put on my card because they were auditing my account.

I was told I needed to fax in a copy of my drivers’ license, rental agreement, and SSN card, and it would take 3 days. I faxed these documents on the 28th of September, and called 3 days later.

The first customer service rep I spoke with said it could take up to 120 days for them to do the audit. I insisted on speaking to a manager and was hung up on. I called back and was told they could not find my documents and that I just needed to keep checking back.

On October 7th I would not accept their response of call back, and I demanded something be done.They asked me if when I faxed my documents, I increased the photocopy size on drivers license by 200%, because if I hadn’t my fax papers were tossed.

So, on Friday 10/09/20, I went back to the UPS store to fax the documents with the NEW instructions only to have the UPS store try 12 times to fax my documents and the fax would not go through.

UPS said the machine is responding like its off the hook or unplugged on Reliacards end.

I came home called Reliacard and was literally told “hmmm, that doesn’t sound right, but maybe try back on Monday".

As of today, 10/10/2020 I have not been able to send the fax with my documents. That means my account is sitting there locked and I have no way to correct this.

I feel like Im on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and US Bank could care less. I have almost $3000 on my card that I cannot access because EVERYTIME I get the run around and new hoops to jump through.

My utilities and rent are late, and there are late fees adding up. The burden upon me is great as I am raising my grandchildren. I have NO groceries, or gas in my car to get them to school. We set out walking an hour before school starts as it is over a mile away. I had to borrow money from a neighbor just to send the fax.

I am desperate for someone to guide me on how to resolve this and be granted access to the unemployment I am entitled too.

It was in the morning April 30th 2020, I recieved a text alert advising 0.00 was decline on my account. I checked my account and noticed 503.00 plus fees was taken out of my account twice all around the same time. The alert was notifing me that whoever took the money tried a 3rd time and was denied due to the limit.

It shocked me because no one uses my card and my card has never left my side. It showed these amounts were taken at a Wells fargo ATM in houston about 45 mintues from where I live. I never used a wells fargo atm at this point and I hadn't been to houston in months. I tried all morning to contact usbankreliacard customer service but after waiting almost 2-3 hours for an agent and being hung up on twice. I called wells fargo, and was told my bank will have to handle it.

I tried to contact every number related to usbankreliacard but was always routed back to the same number in which I couldnt get through. Being extremly frustrated, I decied to call the police. I reported the fraud on my account. I received the incident number and report. I then tried all night and then in the morning some one finally answered. I explained what happened. I was told I can wait for them to send me a form to fill out and send it back to them or I can write a hand written letter explaining the details of what happened but I had to put on the written note some type of number that associated me with the account. I never was given this number before which I thought was odd.

I decided to hand write all the details and send it off the same day, given that I was advised I only have 10 days from the day I called to get the form or letter back to them. Again odd. But I sent it and low and behold maybe about 3-4 weeks later I recieved an alert the the amounts were placed back on my card.

So of course I want to know who took my money. I tried to call usbankrelia card again several times and the hold times are extremly long. I recieved a letter maybe a week later explaining that it was actually an error on there part. HUH!? How can a bank choose a specific wells fargo atm near where I live and take those 2 amounts out and actually attempt to do the third but failed. I wanted a better explaination but due to the out of this world hold times. I chunked it up and was just glad my money was back on my card.

Now Fastforward to this day ( a month later) my husband is experiencing the exact same situation! Over a thousand dollars! At the very same ATM. How can a bank have an error like this!? What is going on in this company. I need answers! And I believe some type of compensation should be given to those who are effected.

My job was sold at the end of 2016 and so I was severed from my employer in Ohio in early 2017. I applied for Ohio UC soon after and was granted payment. Ohio UC set up the US Bank Reliacard for payment. Had I known what I know now I never would have allowed that. I would have had the funds go into my bank account.

I did not try to take out money from the Reliacard for some time due to many things going on in my life at the time (deaths in the family, eye surgery, etc.). When I did try to transfer money from the Reliacard to my bank account I was told I could not. I was told there were daily limits. Why daily limits? Its my money.

I have talked to at least four different people and complained till I was blue in the face. No good. With four different people I got four different answers. I was told that the limit on funds being withdrawn is to protect against fraud. Really? The funds are going into my bank account (a federal credit union, not the lousy US Bank). Its my money you are withholding. Is that like stealing? I was told that there is a daily limit. Not so. A day to US Bank means 24 hours, so I’m told, but they don’t complete the transaction on their end for hours. Really? I was born at night, not last night. How is it that US Bank doesn’t complete their transaction immediately but my bank does?

The bottom line is this. I want to transfer all of the money out of the Reliacard to my FCU bank account. US Bank Reliacard won’t do it. Why? Are they making money off of interest? Do they have my money invested in other accounts I don’t know about? Something is fishy here.

I will never do business with US Bank or any of their affiliations ever. My recommendation to anyone reading this is to stay away from US Bank and US Bank Reliacard. They are crooks.
