On May 19, 2020, I saw an advertisement on Instagram for a Nike branded swingman jersey (Lakers, icon yellow, current Lakers logo, #8, Kobe Bryant, size XS) for $69.99 USD. Following the athlete's passing, his jerseys are hard to come by at an affordable price so I ordered it immediately. It was being sold by an online retailer I didn't recognize, Urban Outlet Apparel (urbanoutletapparel.net), but this product has become unavailable by Nike and I thought I was lucky to have found a store that could supply it.
A few weeks later on June 3, 2020, I received the jersey in the mail, from a Chinese manufacturer. The product was not at all like advertised on their now, nowhere to be found website (urbanoutletapparel.net), nor is their Instagram account active. It was an Adidas branded, retro jersey, of poor replica quality that I was severely overcharged for. I recognize these from other storefronts that sell them for $20. Urban Outlet Apparel was charging 3.5 times more.
I've contacted their customer service as well as their mother company, Urban Online Streetwear (urbanonlinestreetwear.com), and awaiting a response. Neither company provides a phone number to contact. I hope they understand how they are deceiving consumers and will process refunds.
