This is a scam about on the level with the Dale. This company shows up at trade shows all over the country with their innovative, interesting scooters, getting you to ride them and talking you into ordering one. I was genuinely excited about ordering mine after I met the CEO at a trade show and zipped around on one of their display models. I'm beginning to think the only scooters they acutally have are the ones they cart around to scam people out of their money.

After being pressured into buying one by one of their high-pressure online salesmen, I paid $1100 for a scooter I never received. I ordered in January. It is now July, nearly August.

I was originally told the item would ship March 20, and even though that was extremely long for a ship time, I went ahead and ordered after being pressured into it by the sales guy. On March 20, I had an email from them stating that my order would be delayed until the end of April, due to a manufacturing shortage (they claimed). At this point, I still didn't smell a rat, but silly me...

April 22, I finally got ahold of someone on their website chat app to ask when I could expect delivery. I expected an answer like, 'Tomorrow' or 'Tuesday.' He told me the 23rd. I said, 'So... tomorrow?' He said, no, MAY 23. No one ever bothered to communicate with me that there were any further delays, or offer me a refund, which by the way is an FTC violation regarding shipping rules for eCommerce transactions.

May 23rd came and went. I went on an extended vacation; I came back. Still no scooter. No attempted delivery. No communication.

By this point I knew I'd been had. I started emailing the CEO directly, asking him what was going on, and what are you going to do to make this right? I'm a reasonable guy. Some free stuff, maybe a discount, I'd have gone back to being happy. But this is a scam, and life doesn't work that way in Scamland.

The CEO, Peter Lee, is a dynamic, charismatic guy who can talk you into buying a hunk of metal he will never ship you. Then he will never answer his email or come to the phone.

I did manage to get ahold of someone at the company at beginning of July. He was super friendly and dynamic, like Peter, but offered no explanation or apology. He just flat ignored me when I asked him what was going on. He claimed he'd refund my money, no problem.

Guess what. It didn't happen. I still don't have my money, or the scooter they promised. This is a straight up scam. I've reported them to the FCC and the California Attorney General. Please don't make the mistake I did! DO NOT FALL FOR IT! It's all just a bunch of con artists, doing what they do best. And they're brilliant at it. They'll make you believe.
