I paid for services in full on February 6, 2019 - though I advised the representative that my case was not super straightforward and there is a business component as well as personal component, I was assured it would be fine. I was assigned 1 attorney initially - who never responded to me, lost a week or so there, then was assigned another attorney - who needed to meet with me in person and that took a couple weeks to schedule - then that attorney spent forever "reviewing my case" to end up advising he didn't think I should declare bankruptcy but thought I should seek another opinion. Then they had another attorney speak with me on the phone for 15-20 minutes who said he thought Upright was not a good fit for my situation.
Eventually UPRIGHT said they needed to refund me. That was April 24th. I was assured that while a typical refund takes 30-45 business days that mine would be expedited given the unusual circumstances. I meanwhile retained another lawyer who is proceeding with the filing. I reached out and called repeatedly to check on the status of my refund. Each time said they have it in the system but it hasn't been released yet.
Early May I was told they were " running a few weeks behind". Come June I got frustated and got a manager involved - Joseph. Joseph said he expected I would have the check quite soon. I waited and waited -called again to be told well it's now been 54 business days and we are still running behind. That was 4 days ago - called again today and they still haven't issued the check and can't tell me when my money will be refunded, just that it will be.
I cancelled their services within 24 hours and I am due a full refund. I have been given every excuse in the book including that some of their attorneys are recently deceased which I find repulsive. It has been three months and I have yet to receive a refund despite numerous calls, being put on a "priority list" multiple times and no one to escalate to when you ask, you are told there is no one else that you can speak with.
I am beyond frustrated and will be spreading the word on every forum, every channel I can. I have filed an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau from which their certification has been revoked. I only wish I could have seen all the complaints I am seeing now beforehand. Here is hoping someone does something fast before any more customers become victims!
Going threw credit card oversbending . so called up aplace about some kind of program , they said my best bet was to go bank ruped so I lisened and gave them my info and hung up over night I decided not to go through with it so I never opened any of there e-mails or phone , so a month 1/2 later they took monny out of my bank account . frist time 200 then secound time 830 dollars ,whitch I was going to pay my taxes

Awful rip off of a company. I cannot believe they still have a business considering how many people have gotten duped by them. I want my 700$ back
