The incident: i called universal studios orlando and spoke with guest relations last week
1) to make sure my park pass was still valid
I called universal studios orlando last week and spoke to an guest relations agent danielle and she apologized for what occured and she issued me (2) express passes and was going to issue me a free 1 day pass but told me my annaul pass was good until 6/29/09
She said if i have any problems she would assist me further she said remember my name. I thanked her and made arrangements to come to to universal studios orlando on the 6/20/09 we stayed in a hotel close to universal studios then on fathers day 6/21/09 we went through the line at 11:00 a.M. And when i put my finger on the card they told me it expired and then we where told to go to the guest relations line we waited from 11:30-12:30 after 1 hour of waiting on the sun at 90 degrees.
I finally got to speak to someone. They gave me the express passes and told me that my pass was expired. Then at 12:45 after i bought a bottled water and cooled down i called guest relations on my phone and spoke to an agent for 35-40 minutes who was not able to help me but told me danielle would be working later that day around 2 p.M. So i asked to be transfered to his supervisor i spoke to kim who was the supervisor of the day for about 20 minutes and she told me that she would talk to danielle then would call me back.
I wanted this resolved so my fiancee went into the park with her pass and she wanted to talk to the inside guest relations, because the waite time is shorter. So becky was going to leave the park and asked me if i got my ticket. Then as i am still on the phone with kim i get grabbed by this security guard who in personates a police officer who has a official police badge who puts me in an interragation room and accuses us of trying to sneak in. He accused me of stealing the express passes when guest services provided me with them.
I try to explain what happened then he talks about "jail" "prison" that he is calling the orlando police. I said for what??? He said it appeared that you wanted to sneak in my park. I said it appeared? His name is butch he falsely impersonated a orlando police officer with his police badge. He used tactics to harass us and used excessive force and said he was a police officer from orlando.
Then he grabbed the items out of my hand without permission and took my drivers license, i was threatened if i didnt cooperate i would be arrested. They took me to one room and my fiancee to another and basically told us to admit trying to sneak into the park for over 20 minutes. Finally i told them to call 911 i said this is enough call 911. They took our picture without our permission they took my drivers license without my permission.
Universal studios are complete thugs, they falsely accused us and when we were let go i spoke to kyle who said that butch is not a police officer he is a security guard. Universal studios orlando are not the same company as universal studios inc. They only bought the name, i have never been so humilated in my life. Universal studios orlando violates human rights, uses excessive force, and falsely inpersonated the orlando police. We did not violate any rules or regulations. Butch the security guard said "i can kick someone out of the park if i dont like the way they look" what if butch doesnt like the way african americans look? What if he doesnt like the way gay people look? What if he doesnt like the way japanese people look? He can just kick them out?
