Vickie Royer at Universal estimated $3200 for move from LIttle River SC to Boise Idaho, picking up on 4-15 and delivery on 4-29. Estimate based on everything in a 10 x 10 stg unit plus two outdoor chairs and table and misc. boxes. When rental truck arrived day late, they loaded and doubled cubic feet to 1100 which was impossible. Refused to pay - they left. I spoke with client rep Christian (his name not his affiliation) and we negotiated to $5500 but since he wanted 15% on top of that to run credit card I asked to wire information which he sent and I wired money next day. However, he sent incorrect information and 7 days later in my trip across country I get email from bank it was rejected.
I immediately stopped at branch at got cashier's check and called Christian who earlier that week told me he would keep me informed and I heard nothing. He said he would not take cashier's check and after much deliberation, I sent from and back copy of check and was assured by him and his superior all was good and we were still on target for 4-29 delivery. 4-29 can and went and they stopped taking my calls. "Owner" finally called and assured me I would have my furniture shortly which of course never happened - Received call May 6 I might have furniture in 3 or 4 more days but he is concerned he can't get his big rig down typical residential street. Living In hotel and only receiving lies from this company.
