About April 6, 2020 after a UTA internet video-sales presentation, I signed a $4,000+ contract to have UTA liquidate my Arizona timeshare. I was sold because the presentation emphasized UTA facilitating a transfer BACK TO THE RESORT -- entirely different from a service selling my timeshare on the open market. It was stated that scores and even hundreds of such transfers had thus far been accomplished by UTA. I would otherwise be wary because I heard of instances where the buyer defaulted on a resale, causing original owners to be drawn back into responsibility for maintenance fees.

Later I received documents to be signed from their designated title-work company, Express Closing Firm. The Grantee on the property conveyance document was BLANK, and a Limited Durable Power of Attorney was also included, which granted power for "making reservations, banking weeks, collecting proceeds"... to name a few. It seemed illogical to need such power unless there were plans to monetize use my property while I paid fees, as I was instructed to NOT use my property, NOT contact the resort, and continue upkeep of maintenance fees.

I sent an email to UTA requesting written information on why my resort was NOT the Grantee, and clarification on why the power of attorney was needed. There was no response to my request. I later sent a formal request for a refund, as it was evident they could not or would not complete their contracted action. STILL NO RESPONSE.

I subsequently discovered UTA has been in business since March, 2020; impossible to have the stated number of transfers completed in about 2 weeks of operation. Their success was misrepresented.
