On June 7th 2016 due to piping issue we had raw sewage back up into our downstairs work out room/ bedroom. We called Ben Franklin plumbing and had it repaired and the plumber recommended United Construction Group for clean up and repair.
This was the worst decision we have made in quite some years!
I have called countless times over the year only to be told a verity of excuses-- either the person on my account has quit, (3 times) the admin has quit, no workers available (5 times), or just had no one return my calls. I have had to do a walk thru with a new person 3 times to go over what was needed.
It has taken 9 months to get a floating floor installed. The 2 guys that came took almost 9 hours to remove half a floor and install a new 10 x 12 floating floor. The put the floor down but taped down; with blue painters tape, the transition pieces that go in the doorway between rooms, only tacked down the base boards, and destroyed specialty cut corner pieces , so that the base boards don't meet correctly in the one of corners and on one of the door frames. No other work has been done since then. $2500 paid at this point.
After the floor was done I received a call wanting the remaining check from the insurance company. The woman said that the job had been reported completed. huh, far from it! I have had to get the insurance company to reissue the check 3 times due to the excessive amount of time this has taken.
Remaining work to be done:
Replace drywall on one wall ( cat 3 water :ie raw sewage) has soaked into
Replace shower floor and bathroom floor tile ( 99% saturation on this tile) I was told 4 or 6 inch floor tile does not exist.
painted the room
replace the sink vanity
That is all I am able to remember from the last walk thru in February.
It is exausting dealing with this company and according to another person in rip off reports- there is a 30% fee to cancel. I had no idea about that, it was never discussed.
Save yourself a serious headache and go with another company.
