I had a car loan through this company when I turned 19 at 32% interest rate. I hit a hard time 10-11 months later and they repossessed the car. Shortly after, they auctioned it off for cheap and claimed I still owed the $2000 something dollars. I was upset but I did not hear from them again, not until almost 10 years later. A few weeks ago I recieved a letter claiming I owe United Finance almost $10,500 for a judgement they had on me from 2007. I was never aware of this judgement, or ever notified of the court date. They sat in the in the dark for almost a decade with a default judgement, letting it rack up interest at 32%, and now they are threatening to take personal and business assets, seize bank accounts, garnish wages and so on. These people are scum, preying on people with little to no credit. You either pay almost double for your vehicle through their high interest rates, or you will default and they will sit back and let that high interest rack up on a judgment and come after everything you have a decade later. Save your money for a cheap car paid cash and build your credit. Do not use these con artists. I am getting a lawyer and I hope I can prevent more people from being robbed blind from these dirt bags.
