If you read the first sentence and still go to this "establishment" instead of sprinting in the opposite direction, then shame on you. You will be highly disappointed and deserve all the heartache that comes to you. I wish my family read the reviews before coming here.
To Begin, we traded in our car and got 2011 Audi Q5. Although buying a car should be a joyous occasion, we have had nothing but problems from this car. First of all, I have reason to believe that COREY; our sales person, cleared the "check engine" light on our test drive. I came to this conclusion because After the whole car buying process the check engine light came on before we even reached our home!! We immediately called them and they referred us to Q auto repair in Marietta Georgia. Turns out that a pipe in the engine was no good. We did not pay for the repairs, United Auto Brokers came 400+ out of pocket for the repairs....But wait, there's more!
For the 3 weeks that we had the car, I had to put 3 quarts of motor oil in the car and noticed that the gas mileage was horrible. According to an article on Edmunds (2013) oil leakage can cause bad gas mileage. Anyway, I put motor oil in the car once a week. We took it back to Q because it did not make sense that I got a "minimum oil level" alert once a week. Turns out that the engine is eating oil. Once you rev the engine you can literally see grey smoke coming out the muffler. We again, went back to the car dealership and told AMADOU our concerns and that the car was no good. He said that we needed to get a second opinion.....What??? I offered to show him the grey smoke that comes out and his retort was that he is not a mechanic, however he had the nerve to tell me that I shouldn't have put oil in the engine. What am I supposed to do when the car alerts me that there is no engine oil?? even the mechanic had to top it off the fluids and we got this information from the mechanic that you referred us to in the first place!! Why would we need to get a second opinion??
AMADOU actually seemed angry that his mechanic told us the truth about the car. So if you are reading this review, give him business. He is a very nice man that works on luxury cars for a good price even though he is affiliated with a bad company. (Probably won't be anymore after united auto brokers read this review)
Regardless, we went and got a second opinion after he stated he would move forward only after. The new mechanic stated that the engine was eating oil, some of the other pipes suck and the brakes were bad and it would be a 4,000 dollar repair, mind you we got the car for 20,000. The mechanic estimated that the car should have been sold for under 12,000 with the amount of things wrong with it.
The next day we went back to united auto brokers to speak to AMADOU the manager because phone calls served no good. The young Hispanic woman at the front desk lied and said he wasn't there even after we literally saw him outside as we were pulling up and he walked to the side of the building. Everyone in the building looked as if this happens all the time. We eventually gave the paper work to AMADOU and he said that he would give us a call back even after we wasted our precious time and gave him a second opinion that we paid 65 dollars out of pocket for. Not to mention we drove there in Georgia traffic and we live about 20 miles away. So, his reply was not good enough for me. We were sold a bad car with none of the problems disclosed and was not able to drive the car for a full week right after we bought it because it has been in the shop! I told him about the reviews online and how they are seemingly crooks and he immediately got angry with me and threatened to not fix the car. He stated that he would handle things the way he wanted to. Talk about rude! If I were a man, things would have been very different. But he proved me right in calling them crooks. A reputable car dealership would at least try and fix the car and guard their good name and value a repeat customer. He wanted to do the opposite.
His go to answer to everything was that we should have bought warranty. Sadly, I believe that would have been his go to answer even if the engine blew up into tiny little pieces on the highway on our way home. Why is warranty even in the discussion when I wasn't even able to make it HOME without the check engine light coming on because they cleared the code on the test drive!? According to many sites, the buyer may prevail on a breach-of-contract claim, for not getting the benefit of his bargain (we didn't pay $20,000 in return for a 30 second ride). We may prevail on a fraud claim. Again, how could the dealer not know all the problems that were going on with this car? This is law, and if matters are not handled accordingly we will speak to a lawyer.
After all the chaos and confusion, he agreed to fix the car but only with a mechanic he knows. Again, looking at the reviews online I am weary. We are now in one of their loner cars (it seems messed up too) while we wait for the repairs on the car we purchased. We warned him that we will have the car looked at again by our mechanic when we get it back.
All in all, after such ignorance is displayed words no longer matter and litigation will ensue if the issues are not handled accordingly. We received nothing but the run around until we were stoic and stood our ground. My family is in the healthcare field. We are both nurses trained to help others when they are suffering. Words such as nonmaleficence mean something to me. I wouldn't even imagine doing something like this to an unknowing person who is willing to trust. Despite my review and you still get a car here please have it checked out by YOUR mechanic to dodge a missile (not a bullet) . This was definitely a learning experience and I really wish time machines were real. This case is made for TV and they know it.
P.S Corey is probably the nicest guy in that establishment and he was very pleasant. That should tell a lot about the people who
These guys are out to rip you off and take advantage of you! CUSTOMER BEWARE of false promises during the pre-sale or post sale phases. I thought it was just my salesman, Michael Jenkins, but it was a collaborative effort from the service department to the management, Amadu in Finance, and Geoffrey McWharter the Sales Manager. I paid $15,000 cash for a 2007 230 Sport Mercedes from them and asked them to resolve three things: some scratches on the front bumper, get an extra key, and replace a 5 yr old battery that wouldn't crank the car. After the test drive the agreed to do this, so I paid a $5,000 deposit and went to my Credit Union to get the balance check for $10,000 and returned 2 days later to pay and pick-up my car, thinking that had done all they promised. A few months later after my car stalled and would not start, I found out that they purchased a new battery for my test drive, but returned it 2 days later to Advanced Auto for a full refund and put the 5 yr old battery back in my car. My wife and daughter drive the car and we found ourselves stranded one morning, and had to call for roadside assistance for a tow. Afterwards, I had to purchase a new battery. That’s when I realized what had happened, so I called and asked them to refund the money I paid for the battery, BUT THEY REFUSED...saying they were doing me a favor and we don't have $294 to give you for the battery replacement. Keep in mind they sell only luxury cars! This was totally preposterous and disrespectful to me after paying $15,000 for a vehicle! This is how they treat their customers!
I purchased a 2008 Mazda 3 from United Auto Brokers on June 10, 2015, working with Angela. It is my 16-year-old son's first car (thanks Grandma!). We were told the price was non-negotiable because a pre-certified car was guaranteed and we wouldn't have any problems with it. Almost immediately, one of the headlights stopped working. A few weeks later, we started having other problems with the car and took it to Jim Ellis Mazda on July 13, 2015. Not only had the headlight and headlight socket melted together so that both had to be replaced, but an engine mount was broken. Also, the transmission fluid and power steering fluid were so dirty and thick, it was obvious that they had not been checked or replaced in some time. The total bill was over $800.00. I called Angela several times and sent a letter to her at the dealership. As of 12/30/15, I have been ignored. DON'T GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!
