on 2/22/20187 the drivers showed up at my apartment located at 3 hours late, it took Uniuqe until 3/19/2018 to deliver my belongings and held them in the truck until I went to the bank. They charged me a $1,186 and would only take cash or a post office money order. This is illegal under Florida statutes 507.06. Several boxes clearly marked GLASS or FRAGILE were badly damaged as if they had been thrown around, and as a result, the entire contents were broken. my computer was broken and a couch that I have had since March of 2017 very dirty and torn

At least 2 boxes are missing, as well as the top of my dining table and a toolbox, full of tools. I filled a claim including photos of the damage via certified mail. It was signed for on April 13, 2018, however to date, I have not heard from the company. When I call them they only say they are looking for my belongings but refuse to say exactly what has been done. The customer service people are rude and have an "I don't care" attitude.

I hope to spare others from the horrors of dealing with Unique Van Lines.

Plymouth Relocation Services set up this mover to move clothes, 2 bicycles, and a few personal items from a 341 sq foot furnished condo that was to be put on a rental program as well as approximately 10 boxes from a nearby storage unit. Plymouth Relocation was informed kf what was to be shipped and asked to ensure oricing was correct every step of the way because I wanted no surprises. Movers came late in a rented U-Haul truck and started flinging evertying in a big box, including a Kosta Boda vase, jewelry boxes, books, clothes, and items that I indicated were to stay because condo was furnished and on a rental program. They paid no attention. I was quoted a orice of around $2000 from Plymouth. I was presented with a bill for $9000. I told them anout Plymouth's estimate but was told it didn't matter. If I wanted items moved, that was the charge. I said I would nit oay it and was told all my belongings would be thrown in osrking lot or taken to warehouse and I would be billed more money for storage. Since I was keaving the condo in two days and it eas to be rented, I wrote a check. I never heard from the moving company again and could get no info on where my items were so I stopped payment on the check; called the company; and asked to have my items delivered fior a reasonsble price. Was told that $9000 was reasonable for a 341 sq foot condo. I indicated entire houses can be shipped for $2,400 and was told that didn't matter.

When I indicated that the paoerwork wasn't filled out oroperly with a list of items but just "Box 1, Box 2, etc, I was told that didn't matter either. No one was responsive. I told them that I could not oay $9000 for the moving fee and only signed because it was very late and I needed to move the next day. The movets wanted a check, which I gave them and then stopped payment the next day. But I did call the company to tell them that I stopped payment because the anount was about 5 times what I was quoted and I had to be out if the condo in two days. I asked for my clothes and other items to be delivered to me for the original price and was told that they didn't have my items and did not know where they were. I have moved with only several dresses and none of my other belongings taken by Unique. Unique says they don't know where they are but other times they do if I agree to pay $9000. It is a nightmare from which I hope I can recover and regain possession of my items.

My move was from florida to california. The first company I spoke with was California Van Lines.They pretended to be a moving company ,but were a broker.

I ended up with Unique Moving and Storage. I had put down a 200 dollar deposit at this time with California Van Lines.When they finally contacted me , by a personal cell phone, they promised an early pick up for my small load.

At 1pm they called on their cell saying they had a big load and they would be there by 100 pm. I called at 2pm. They said the customer was difficult. They would be there at 3pm. At 3 pm they had a broken truck. At 5 p they said the weather slowed them down. This went on until 7pm. they barely spoke english. At 630 a mechanic truck appeared but no movers. At 730 the movers arrived in a Budget rental truck. They did not speak english. They didn't understand the papework and did it in a confusing manner. When I left the Budget rental truck was still there.

One mover arrived in California at 9pm and several days late. This driver also had difficulty speaking english. There were several items missing. The driver thought the mix up was from the miami storage. I don't know why they took my items 100 miles east!

When I contacted the main office they were useless. They simply said I was wrong and are refusing even to acknowledge their incompetence and processs a claim. Don't use this company ! It's a nightmare.
