My father in law purchased a $3000 door from this poor excuse for a company. They came to install the door and when they took the lock out of the old door to put in the new door the tech installer broke it. He did not tell me as for I was the one in charge of the installation but told me he could not install it due to lack of knowledge on this type of lock which was a YALE DR226 which is a digital key less entry lock which has a retail value of $200 plus $129 to have installed. The next day I had a locksmith come to install the lock and it was at that time I found out the lock tech installer broke it. I called the Hempstead NY branch and talked to a very nasty man that was rude and used profanity at me after I explained my story and was upset he was not willing to make any type of restitution. So, I told him I didn't like his attitude and that the boss / owner should call me asap. So, this waste of 8 pints of blood Steven D CEO calls me demonstrating the poorest customer service skills I ever encountered. Not only did he accuse me of lying telling me I broke the lock to get his company to buy me a new one but he cursed at me like a drunken sailor and threatened me with a law suit against my 70-year-old disabled father in law that is in a wheel chair. When I told Steven D. CEO that he is being unfair to a veteran of the Vietnam war which is where he became disabled, Steven D. and I quote said "THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM YOUR FATHER GOT SHOT UP IN NAM NOR DO I CARE, THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM AND HIS. I ONLY CARE ABOUT ONE THING AND THAT IS THIS LOCK SITUATION WHICH I AM NOT REIMBURSING YOU FOR. I told little Steven CEO b**** boy, I was going to have to send him a legal letter as well as some other choice words which he told me that in my contract any attempt to sue his company would and can result in his company suing my father in law for every last penny that he has. For a second time I could not believe what I was hearing almost felt like I was in a fantasy world. How could a CEO of a large company talk to anyone like that let alone a customer that is disabled? So, I called my lawyer to see if there was anything I can do and my lawyer said YES YES YES.
