My 21 year old son was relentlessly pursued with promises of "making it" in show business, by playing on his niativity and belief that people are GOOD and TRUSTWORTHY! He was very WRONG when it comes to this crook BRANDON HARLOW and his fraudulent business Undiscovered Talent GROUP! Once I realized what happened I followed the written contract for cancellation by sending a return receipt/certified cancellation letter within three business days. The contract states that refund will be sent within 21days. It has been 42 days and have heard NOTHING! in fact the cowards will not even return phone calls or written correspondence. I am pursuing legally and will not give up, but wanted to warn other people to not get involved with these frauds!
Just attended this cattle call event this weekend. Getting caught up in the excitment of opportunities we did not realize at first that there was no evidence of the company name on the advertisement and email used to communicate information. The email said there were only a few spots available and when you show up there are hundreds of people. The event is said to be a free audition and when you leave you are given a booklet of fees up in the thousands of dollars if you wish to continue.
I paid attention to the auditions previous to us and it seemed like many if not all we're getting a call back. It seemed fishy... When my 5 year old audition (with no experience), the older gentlemen asked her to give her stuffy to her mother and return which my daughter did with no hesitation. The gentleman then said that was a test and she passed explaining that many children would not listen , cry and/or not return. I get this, I am a kindergarten teacher and know that they are looking for children who can follow instructions but still seemed like this was to easy and too good to be true. He then asked her to say her lines, which she knew by heart but with pretty much no expression because she was so shy and then asked her to show him different facial expressions like being sad, happy, angry, etc. Then he said if he chose her, which he said he most likely will, he will text us in the evening. The text said that "you made my call back list" not using my child's name. This had me wondering how many of these text messages did he send out just copying and pasting the same message. If my child was so special and recognized than he should have used her name. The text heavily finishes with looking over the financial commitment making me feel nautious that I could be spending thousands of dollars in an instant.
We did our due diligence and researched all night finding little to no good evodence supporting this company. In fact, we just kept coming across negative articles or other similar scam stories. Some articles list warning signs and UTG hit all the red flags. It's sad and I wish I went back to warn other parents so I'm hoping at least voicing my experience here will help save some other families some serious financial problems.
