I was contacted by this company few month ago, I was not aware of my refund in the first place, they actually help me with the paperwork, I agreed to the one time contingency fee; just to let you guys know I was not asked for my SS# but I was required to have a valid Texas Drivers License;.the only issue I have was that the process was completed in about two months.
I received a postcard in the mail stating that i "made an overpayment to a texas agency" in the amount of $1526 and that my authorizatoin is needed in order to process the refund/rebate. I contacted there office and was informed that they could not provide any additional information and i would need to meet with a representative in person who could give em further details. I did not schedule an appointment and immediately decided to research the company online.
There a several complaints from people who signed agreeements and gave out their ssc#s and were promised a refund free of charge. Its only free apparently because they keep your return, even if they try to cancel before they process the paperwork on their behalf.
From reading the complaints, the funds were some type of payment from the state. In our case, it was a homestead exemption refund from the previous year that we realized we could file for on our own. Please do not entertain these folks. Do your own due dilligence and file your own paperwork!
