I want to warn everyone of these people going door to door, acting as if they are a non profit, collecting donations that they claim are going to help homeless veterans get off the streets, when in reality your money will go to everything but...
Truely, your money first goes to the "Founder", Indigo Allendorf, a single unemployed mother of 3 on welfare. As well as the true mastermind of it all, Travis Riley, a man who within the past year, has been released from both federal and state prison, & currently on federal parol for felony bank fraud charges, state parol for felony assault with a deadly weapon charges, along with other drug charges.
After funding their expensive habits, your money will then go to the drug addicted transients they hired to go door to door to collect the money from kind unknowing Americans. Over 50% goes to these guys, to pay for their motel rooms, drugs, booze etc.
They post FAKE press releases, don't have a real office, and fail to mention as they are taking their money, that if there is any left over after all of that, you will be lucky if 5%-10% of your money gets donated by them to a real nonprofit then is used towards expenses, still unseen completely by a veteran in need.
Do yourself & our country's heros a favor, stop making these crooks rich, donate your money to a real non profit with actual programs helping vets.. trust me, you are better off giving your money to the homeless vet panhandling, than these people.
I was very disappointed after donating money to this organization and then doing some research. I was unable to verify that this is a legimate charity and after viewing their website it should have been obvious this is not a real charity. The biggest red flag is their federal tax id number posted on the home page of their website does not exist. The other reports on this website are correct about this organization.
It really is a shame because i truly felt like this would have been a worthy cause to help homeless veterans and help homeless teens in need. The person i spoke to was very kind and seeemed genuine. I will never donate to any place in the future without pulling out my phone and googling the charity and searching the tax information in front of them. The address is virtual office space, so that should also be an indicator. I looked up the employer identification number from the rebutal posted on a outscam. Could not find any verficiation it exists. I'd rather have just given money to the person asking for me to donate, because i am sure the money is just going to go straight to this indigo person. The person seemed like they may be on drugs or have used hard drugs in the past.
Do your research and google a charity anytime someone asks you to donate, and do it in front of them. It is unfortunate they prey on good natured people who care about others.
