Ultra Skin Reviews
I received an add in an email to purchase this eye/face cream for $6.97. I researched it (obviously not enough) and there was no indication whatsoever that the charge would be higher than the stated amount ($6.97). There was also no indication communicated in any way that I would be enrolled into a 'beauty club' and thus have reoccurring payments associated with the initial purchase. I checked my credit card statement for several weeks after the initial purchase was made and only the initial charge for $6.97 billed as 5.00, .97, and .99 were listed as charged. Suddenly I received notification from my bank that my credit card was over the limit. I couldn't figure out why and checked the statement again. A charge for $89.99 was made a week later. I assumed I had been unknowingly enrolled into a 'beauty club' with monthly, reoccurring, charges. I contacted the 1-877- 276-2920 phone number listed to request being removed from the Ultra Skin Cream Eugenics Inc group and to prevent any further charges from occurring.
When I called the individual on the phone answered as "customer service" with no other identifying information provided. She identified herself as Shelby James and indicated right away (without prompting) that she is a supervisor on the shift. I explained the situation and Shelby indicated that the charge of $89.00 was actually the full payment for the creams received. I had initially received one small eye cream and one small face cream. I did not, at any time, receive additional merchandise from the company. I inquired as to what the $89.00 subsequent charge was for and was told by Shelby that it was listed in the fine print/contract (flat out lie) that the creams were being sent for the cost of shipping only and I would pay full price for them? Shelby indicated that the cancellation window for a refund or to cancel the bogus product or beauty club was 14 days after the initial purchase had been completed. I asked to be removed from any future charges or products being sent. Shelby assured me that I was cancelled and no further charges will show up on my statements.
Shelby gave me a cancellation confirmation number. I asked that they send it to me via email (physical proof) and she indicated they are unable to send/generate emails.
Prior to hanging up and ending the call Shelby stated "Thank you for calling customer service." Again providing no name or additional identifying information regarding the company or their product.
Consumers beware of this scam. It is a complete scam and I highly recommend staying away from all products shipped from the Ultra Skin Cream / Eugenics Inc also advertised as Select Skin Therapy.
