I was approach and a convenient stop by a middle eastern man in his 40s or 50s years of age . He noticed the damage to the side of my vehicle and told me he has a Bodyshop. He threw a great sales pitch and told me he would waive my insurance deductible that was $500. I agreed Geico my insurance company paid well over $5,000 for repairs and replacement of my front fender both driver and rear door.
The insurance company paid his shop to replace and paint the side of my car. Rather than doing that he put Bondo on the whole side of my vehicle and painted it a similar color which was not the factory color of my vehicle. The work was horrible I refuse to take my vehicle from his shop. And he told me everyday that my car was there was going to be a $50 charge for storage.
My car looked horrible there was nothing I can do I reported it to my insurance company. But since I chose that particular Bodyshop to do the work there was little or nothing they could do. It was embarrassing driving around with Mitch matched paint. So I end up trading in my car and getting an SUV I am paying more for my SUV. My new payments are 377. Compared the 245$ car payment. All because ultimate body shop waved my $500 deductible.
It goes to show you that you get what you pay for. I strongly recommend if anybody offers to have your car repaired for free that you pass up that offer Murphy's law says if something is too good to be true then it usually is..... although I am happy with my new SUV. If I Could Turn Back Time and not take my car to be repaired at that run-down Shack of a Bodyshop i would so AUSTIN BEWARE OF THIS RIP OFF AUTO REPAIR SHOP because you will save the cost of your deductible.but will end up paying more for a new car in the long run. The owner was driving in a red Van with advertisement all over the vehicle saying he will waive your deductible. The next time anybody approaches me on this street and regards of repairing my car I will drive away like a bat out of hell.
