I'm writing this report in order to create awarness among the community. I started driving for UBER when it first got launched in Las Vegas around Aug, 2014. I can say like other drivers who first come to work for UBER when they first start working in their own state, UBER seem like the perfect job, what ask someone can ask; working your own schedule, own car, and making extra money. Well things are not as it picture or how people portray not all things the look like gold are gold. Here's my experience and hope you make the right decesion when thinking about working for a rideshire or undecided to work for UBER.
As I said, I started working for UBER as a secondary job. However, I start working more like a full time to be able to make ends meets.
Two months after UBER started in Las Vegas, just about Christmas 2015 I see myself not making ends meets when I was working more than part-time. UBER requested to signed an adendum or I was not permitted to get back on the road until the document was signed. One can say the process is was advirtrary. Right after, I see fairs dramatically change. As an example, ride making $10 on a fair, I see my profit going down by 30% you will think this will end here the answer is no!. Two months later, UBER continue to drop their fairs by another 16% that was money taken out from the total taken home. At this time, my 2014 Journey got repo and I start getting behind on all my bills. As stand, I have two delinquent Cell phone Companys. I used my income taxes to get my vehicle back an learn that UBER requested another adendum and request another 5% off the fairs already taken out, I discover I was taken 46% already and now extra 5%? Today, I log occasionally as an ambassador to create awarness among the community and hopefull that I can make a difference when new driver want to start driving for UBER, Im not sure if you will experience what I went through, but working for UBER ou will only make this company more richer and if you choose to work for UBER consider yourself setting yourself for failure and possible end like me with a new car with more than 70k miles, unable to pay the past due bills that having this job have created and struggle make ends meets look up my video on U tube Las Vegas channel 13 Vegas driver struggles to make ends meet Herman Garca.
