I was operating under “good faith” because of my personal relationship and familiarity with the owners Swaroopa Guntuboyina and Sophie Turner., I purchased Uber Girl product following an introduction to Ms. Guntuboyina by Ms. Turner they are both residents of my community and their daughters attented my dance school. Since they were also female entrepreneurs, I was comfortable after they assuranced me that their hair weaves/tracks were high caliber quality product. Both owners assured me that their product (publicly states on the Uber Girl home page) is 100% guaranteed.
I was sold damaged hair!
The hair falls out everywhere, not only if you comb through it, but even just wakling through life, you will notice hair over your spouse, children, job, car, floors, rugs, kitchen, dinner tabl, food. DISGUISTING. After the day of the weave application, I notified the oweners that I was experiencing heavy shedding. They asked me to keep them posted. I told them both via email that I would spend the week observing the hair and let them know the outcome. Almost daily, I sent them photos and even video of the hair easily shedding from the track wefts. After seven days, I told them that an excessive amount of hair was falling out and they replied, "That's odd." Not so sorry! What can we do to resolve this. After a day of email exchangs asking for a reslolve. I finally asked the owners for either a replacement for the hair or a refund. They not only refused to even look at the hair, they refused to replace or refund the hair. I offered to have them spaeak with my hair stylist, so that she could tell them from a professional standpoint, that the amount of shedding coming from their product was "not normal". They said they "would have to send the hair to India and let their expert study it and then maybe they would return half of the cost".
At the time the owner's daughters took dance lessons at my school. Ms. Guntuboyina said in retaliation she would "remove her daughter from my dance school and deduct her daughter's tuition fees from the hair"!!!! WHO DOES THIS? She had her ten year old daughter send me nasty text messages. All this over refusing to do the right thing. I had no other recourse but to take them to small claims court. Ms. Turner dodged being served my the county sheriff in (3) different attempts. Ms. Guntuboyina asked to postpone the trial date twice and succesfully got the court date delayed. Finally, in our day in court they screamed yelled and tried to bully me outside the courtroom. A sheriff had to force them to stand on the opposite side of the hallway. In the hallway out side of the coutroom, Ms. Turner bragged that she hid from the sherrifs. The defandents refused to study the evidence (the bunk hair) band my documents (texts, emails, receipts) supporting my case.
They were diesrespectful to the presiding judge and admitted to him that they did NOT and WOULD NOT even look at their hair. He kicked them both out of the court room and siad that they were "wasting his and the court's time". Finally, when the judge heard my case, Ms. Turner testified that she was not a co owner. Then of course the judge asked why she was there. She got into a verbal sparring match with the judge. The judgce said that he did not find her credible. He asked, "Why would someone claim to know coordinate the purchase sale, avoid being served, then show up in court and testify if they had nothing to do with the business?" Of course, she lied under oath and said she never texted me about the hair and hair care advice.... the judge was able to find in my evidence that she was lying. Ms. Guntuboyina revealed in court that he hair she gets from India, is "virgin hair" and that the girls that are "tricked" into thinking they are sacrficing their hair to a Hindu God/deity. It is shaved off of their hair in worship and then her partners collect the hair and export if over seas to profit. They rob these girls. After hearing this, why would I ever think that she would be ethical with me?
The judge made his judgemnet for UBER GIRL HAIR to pay me $1250. for both the weave installation that I paid for and their damaged hair weave tracks. Ms. Guntuboyina began yelling at the judge that she was going to appeal and that small claims court is "small time" and that she was going to come back with "big lawyers". Unreal. So, they would rather hire attorneys than pay the client back her money or at least relapce the hair. The judge couldnt get past their arrogance (which he cited) and unwilliness to do "the right thing". They still have not paid. They did schedule an appeal for 11/18 /16 and than of course in their juvenile charades entered another postponement (with no reason cited) another court date of 12/8/16. Don't become a victim, go with an ethical distributor. No one could ever be this fraudlent.
