I am an ex-employee of UAS systems, hired as a software engineer for UAS systems or more formally, Universal Automated Systems company. This is a report regarding my complaint of non-payment and failure to fulfil payment of two-months salary by the company, UAS Systems, located in Hamilton office, 16th Floor, 21 King Street West, Hamilton, ON, Canada, L8P 4W7, website http://www.uasonline.ca/. The company president is Mr. Akmal Aziz Khan.
I have started to work in this company since October 2017. During the initial months, I was hired just to do random unpaid work, which does not amount to anything. I was hired and work exclusively and remotely with the UAS company president Mr. Akmal Aziz Khan. After some discussions, he decided to only pay me a meager sum of one thousand Canadian dollars per month, for a project as well as help on other enterprise projects.
During the time of employment I was working remotely. Mr Akmal Aziz Khan have had very high expectations to the point that he want me to work even on weekends with no breaks and no holidays and no vacations.
My salary was not only delayed but also it was split between two weeks. And this meant that I was only paid five hundred in a week, and even this was delayed. It was around the month of May 2017, that he claimed that his company was experiencing financial struggle. And so he decided to delay my salary even more, up to more than three weeks. The delays got even worse and time went by. However up till today, the company is in very good financial standing.
As of right now, the outstanding amount that was not paid to me is two thousand dollars.
On many occasions during my employment with UAS systems, Mr Akmal Aziz Khan deliberately delayed my pay on a monthly basis. Mr Akmal Aziz Khan also presumably decided to avoid taxes by not only delaying my pay, and also paying me only five hundred for each of 2 weeks only. On most other times the gap and the delay of pay is even longer. As time went by, the pay was getting annoyingly slack and because of that it prevented me from fulfilling my rent on time on various occasions.
I would also like to add that during the initial months that I was not paid and up till today, he still claimed that my standard of work is a level of an intern and decided to pay me low as such. Mr Akmal Aziz Khan has made deliberate excuses to pay me below of what is my skill and standard of work.
It is still my hope that I would still be paid the amount due, even if I am not paid after being let go by UAS systems. However, as time went by my hopes had begun to fade and hence this report.
