I had a procedure done on my knee and I checked to make sure the anesthesia company my doctor used was in network with Blue Cross. After the procedure I get a $1200 bill from these jerks. I called and asked why I was asked to pay the full amount and not 20% that I should have been charged. They said that they had already reduced the amount owed according to blue crosses contractractual amount. (Like this was supposed to make me feel good) . In other words they were $1600 overpriced to start with. They explained that they were not "in network".
Here is a nation wide anesthesia company that isn't "in Network" with one of the largest insurance companies in the country. Give me a break, this is a rip off in the making.
Beware, check every person that will be touching you or on your case and make sure they take your insurance and get it in writing. If this company is your anesthesia company, cancel your procedure and go to another company
I've been trying to correct my statements from US Anesthesia Partners of Dallas with no success. This began right after my procedure in April 2016. I have contacted them 7 times and my insurance customer service representative has contacted them at least twice without effect. I have now received my final bill and will be sent to a collection agency. I just wanted them to add my insurance information to my account so I would know how much I really owed them after they process my bill with my insurance company; but in 7 months nothing has happened- except I get more bills. Their customer service reps are very nice and swear they are taking care of it, but nothing ever gets done. My insurance company cannot do anything until the information is submitted. I don't think there is an actual working company, just some friendly phone operators to string you along. I would love to resolve this.
