We visited a trade show where TyrellTech was representing Roland for their digital printers. They presented their machine based on what turned out to be false specs. They followed up with additional tests done on a different machine and then sold us our machine based on those results. The machine delivered to us did not have any of those specs, even though it cost $85,000. We were promised they would be added for weeks and our problems would be solved but they did not ever resolve. The machine was useless. TryrellTech and Roland both confirmed that they gave us wrong information prior to the sale. We waited for months to get a resolution and return. It finally took pushing them hard to take the machine back before they accepted. They promised a full refund of all money paid.
Weeks go by and they finally arrange to pick up the machine. We wait a few more weeks before getting a refund from the finance company. We are still waiting for a refund from TyrellTech for the $8500 balance and the ink cartridges. They keep promising it will come in a few days but nothing ever does. Finally, when we press them, Dan Ramm claims they have a virus that is delaying things internally. We still remain patient a few more weeks. One day we call Dan to ask for status and he tries to sell us a story that they need to get paid for their training (of which it was poor, explanation below) and their profit.
They want to offer us $1800 refund instead of the full $8500 refund promised. They claim the manufacturer, Roland, did not refund them but after confirming with the Finance Company, that turned out to be a lie. TyrellTech got a full refund and is refusing to refund us because they want to keep money for profit and training on a sale that should have never happened because they gave us incorrect information to get the sale and then delayed us for months trying to save their order, all the time not having a concrete solution that would help us.
Dan Ramm is a good sales person and seems to bend the truth on capabilities on the machine in order to get sales, at least in our case. We trusted him and lost thousands of dollars over the last few months because they would not admit originally they could not service us as required. In our opinion you should not trust him on the specs of the machines he sells. You could face months of problems and then when you try to resolve it, his company will try to make up stories to avoid settling it. The company is led by Craig Tyrell, who was contacted about this matter, but failed to make good.
If you are a business please look elsewhere for a printer. The Roland printers they sell will print incredibly slow, cycle on and off to clean wasting 7 minutes for every print, they will damage up to half your product when printing, causing extra lose, and run through ink as if it was water. TyrellTech's support is not that great. They were unaware of the specs of the printer they sold us and their training consisted of 10 minutes of actual instruction and 3 hours of them playing around online looking for pictures of Bane, from Bathman, to print on random objects in our office, instead of on the products we bought the printer for.
This company is not someone you want to do business with. I warned them several times before writing this review and gave them plenty of opportunity to either call or resolve this but they would rather save the profit they earned by lying to us aobut specs than actually honor their products. Do not trust Dan Ramm or Craig Tyrell to honor the expensive printers they sell.
