Worked for a truck owner leased to this company, driving a truck. -First off, the owner does not seem to have a clue about the condition of trucks leased to his company, or he doesn't care. I was given one of the worst trucks I've seen in my career. Numerous mechanical problems. Cab was noticeably shifted, clutch brake was gone, one shock was completely rusted through and the others in bad condition. The list of problems was huge, and I documented all of it. I was planning my exit as soon as I did a pretrip inspection. Had I not needed to work I would have left immediately. It was obvious the company never looked at this truck that they were putting to work. The first 4 loads were hazmat. After that I refused to haul any hazmat, it was that bad. - The owner will do little, if anything, to help in any driver disputes. When you aren't making him money he throws you to the wolves. A real user.
The owner requires all drivers to pay a bond up front, and they hold it for 45 days after you quit. - Any driver who chooses to work for this two bit trucking company is a fool. They will use you if you play ball, and you won't exist if you don't. Dot rules mean very little to them.
