My business has been temporally been close since the month of March because of the State guidelines concerning (Covid 19) I was reviewing my bank account and saw that I was charged about $400.00 for merchant services in April. I immediately contacted my current provider to investigate why I was being charged for such a high fee when there was no sales activity in March.
To my amazement I was informed that it was not my present merchant provider but it was the previous provider who was charging me fees for over a year without providing services. When I contacted TSYS they informed me that I only called to cancel the account but I did not send an email in writing. I reviewed my emails and I do have records of an email that was sent.
I have been communicating with TSYS for the last few weeks and they are only willing to refund fees in April 2020. This company is taking advantage of small businesses and this should be stopped. There are hundreds of customer complaints similar to mind and I am not sure if we are being heard. I would like you to investigate this organization because they are dishonest and unethical. Can someone please sound the alarm about TSYS.
A charge for 139.10 showed up on my Amex card. I was immediately notified by Amex. This company was listed with no detail on what the charge was. Cancelled credit card. Not sure how the credit card was obtained but it was a fraudulent charge.
I have spent a year trying to either put my account on hold or close it. I have called over a 12 times. I have been told something different every time. I have received 1 response out of approx. 15 emails to customer service. I have been told no more chardges would hit my account about 6-7 different times. I have waited on hold over 3 hours during these calls, last was waiting 15 minutes for a supervisor which never did come on the line. After I thought I was done I received a chargeback on a card reader that I was told was credited due to all the trouble, etc. etc. Last, I returned the card reader, provided proof of delivery and was told they had not record of it two weeks later. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. FYI - I was a customer of theirs for approx. 3 years and this is how you are treated when you leave.
