I wanted to see what type of report was out on the internet about myself. therefore, i searched for a background site. this site named some of my familly members, and said they had a criminal record. that made me curious, therefore i paid the monthly fee. only to be lead to a page that wanted more money before i could recieve a report. when i refused to give more money, the site had problems and after an hour of trying to reopen it, i called them to complain. i asked for my money back that had been charged to my debit card. they say they are going to give me the money back but it may take a week to get it back. unfortunatelly, it did not take more than 10 minutes for them to get it out of my account!!!
now, i have no report and i am down $26.84 rip off, scam, and fraud.
The truth I found out is, Truthfinder should not be allowed on the internet.
I looked myself up and saw the fee they wanted. Nope! When I clicked to close the page, they offered me 5 days of unlimited access for just one dollar as long as I cancelled - hassle free - by calling the 800 number, within that time frame.
Yeah, riiiiight.
It just so happened I had a Visa gift card with $3.68 on it...so I used that, got what I wanted, and they didn't! Joke's on them for once! (Side note: it was impossible to reach anyone at the hassle free 800 number.)
Completely inaccurate. Don't waste your time or money
Not only do they bait and switch leading you to believe the cost is only $1.75 a month and can be canceled anytime, then ask for more money for reports and additional money for unlimited searches (up to $85)
They also are disturbingly innacurate. I searched my own number in addition to two I know well. Job, location, etc. all very inaccurate. Even attempted to change the inaccurate info, submit it, then return and search again. The old info stayed. The new info nowhere to be found.
I did cancel subscriptions. We'll see what happens next month
i went on this site to get information on a person the site has all the bells and whistles to fool you in believing that the person you are looking for will be compiled and you will get what you want NOT a total was of time go the to public records you will get more information for FREE

I paid for a service that's junk! I found out more on my own by Google Glass and cross reference then anything. no refund. scam scam scam!
This company is a scam. The info is all old and incorrect. I looked up a guy who just got arrested for multiple things a few months ago and it didn't show up and then I tried to cancel and they sent me to TWO numbers, both of which NEVER let me speak to anyone. The number led to me multiple "promotions" from T Mobile and DirecT. I can't figure out how to cancel, I need help here and this company is ripping me off
I agree with the previous review.... minimal information, some of it from the wrong people, and they ask for more money to get wat you thought you were getting in the first place.
