These people are scam artists. They take your money over and over again after you cancel their service and they tell you that you can't get a refund when you email them. Please contact me if you would like to join me in a class action law suit ... your description ... Trustedhousesitters.com

I was elated to join trustedhousesitters.com and was away on holiday when I discovered them. Upon returning home, there was an email in my inbox that said, "Sign up now and receive 50% off membership fee." WOW, I thought . . . and headed on over to the site. After completing my sign-up page and almost submitting my money, I checked online one last time to see if there were any complaints or negative reviews to make sure my money was going to be well spent . . . AND THERE IT WAS. I was not getting a good deal. My sign-up page had Trusted House Sitters regular price of $119.00. Their regular website shows regular price of $59.50. "TRUSTED"??? Hardly. I contacted them and inquired about these two points (backed it up with screenshots) and NEVER heard from anyone at their company (it’s been more than three weeks). Shame Shame Shame!!!

This site is awful. Its the only one which charges homeowners to start (apparently due to their great customer service). My house was trashed by one of their sitters and they told me there was nothing I could do apart from leave a bad review. I did, they then asked me to change it when the sitter complained. She had a list of excuses and denials, which they took seriously. This turned into an awful dispute- the last thing you want when you are already upset that your home was used. Valuable plate (over 300GBP) smashed and thrown out, cats urinated in bedroom, total mess. Now every time I use a house sitter again I will be anxious while I am away.

I would have left it at the review- but they didn't respect my right to do that. In fact, they implied I had not used the site properly. That is not what they would have said had they actually SEEN my flat.

On top of that, they were extremely patronising. I was- obviously- very angry at the house sitter, and based on private emails between her and I, they told me publicly that 'they are sure both parties learnt something about getting a more positive outcome in future'.

I learnt not to use trustedhousesitters.com.

Seriously. Don't use this site. They don't care about you or your house, they only care about your cash.

COMPLETELY AVOID “Trusted” Housesitters’ SITE

DO NOT USE THIS SITE! COMPLETELY AVOID “Trusted” Housesitters’ SITE AS A SITTER AND A HOME OWNER! They only care about making money - not providing useful services to members who actually want their services. For shame! I have seen that they have sent people with criminal convictions to homeowners’ houses as a match! A total waste of money and zero customer service or help via the site owners. I have only been a member for just over a month, but I have applied to 5 pet sitting listings with no responses whatsoever. Their listed dates came and went without even a courtesy decline. Another possibility is that this site is nothing but a scam. Maybe the reason no-one is responding is because there's no-one at the other end of their ads. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone in the “Trusted” Housesitters office makes up these outrageous ads every day! I strongly recommend that you don't sign up with this shoddy outfit. Every part of this company is to trick its customers. False marketing and a highly deceptive interface tricks people into signing up. Incredibly misleading. When you sign up, you'll see very quickly that those 'ideal' locations for house sits have 100+ applicants. If you do apply for a house sit, you'll find you either receive no response, be told that the person has found a sitter off-site. A request for a refund or any kind of compensation is met with a lack of sympathy. The site advertises that they will help you find accommodations, but they don't. It’s all a lie. If you sign up, ensure you go to your settings and uncheck auto-renew. They will try to charge your card again automatically. I wish I could give this site a 0 review, or better yet, I wish I could give “Trusted” Housesitters site a negative review.

We urge you not to go anywhere near this website if looking for a trusted house sitter! We have used many other pet sitting websites in the past without paying any fees, and the experience has always been wonderful. This time round we thought we might take some extra precautions as we were lead to believe they had security checks in place, so we joined TrustedHousesitters and paid the joining fee. Ironically, we ended up with a convicted criminal who gained access access to our address, personal details, details about our holiday destinations and intimate information about our house/lifestyle. This housesitters criminal past is so prolific all we did was a google search and discovered a Wikipedia page, many newspaper articles and also official government records dedicated to her and her corporate fraud and identity theft charges. Hardly trustworthy!! After this realisation we reached out by phone and email to TrustedHousesitters staff for help - but it fell on def ears for days on end. When they did contact us they offered very little help or support. We couldn't be more disappointed in the way we were treated.
