We started our new business with Grasshopper, believing that they offered the best option. Well, they didn't. I could take up to two minutes for a call to come through to my front desk. With that sort of delay, customers/patients were not happy. So, in January of 2016, I ported my number from Grasshopper to another provider, having been told that my account would automatically cancel. Guess what? It didn't. It is my fault for not paying closer attention, or even for not asking Grasshopper to send a confirmation of cancellation. Still, imagine my surprise when I found that they had been charging me for 5 months for a number over which that no longer had ANY control! Their resolution? A refund of one month's service. Stay far away from this company. The service is substandard, they will charge for services they did not provide, and will argue with you when trying to resolve an issue such as this. Lesson learned... the hard way. But I wouldn't use Grasshopper as a phone service were they to offer it for free.
