TruGreen soaked me for a season of treatment to rid my lawn of weeds and treat the St. Augustine grass. Hired in 3/2019 and stopped 09/25. Our corner lot looks horrible after a full season of their "guaranteed" treatment. I complained to Trugreen within the first few months about the weeds and they said it would take about 6 treatments until all the weeds are gone and the St. Augustine grass would fill in. The weeds got greener not the grass and infested my corner lot in Florida. I called several times and was told a manager would come to see the problem. A manager never showed.
I stopped the service until a manager came but instead TruGreen continued to send out their truck not a manager. The last visit was stopped before anything was done. Trugreen charged my credit card for another service, which they did not do, and I was left with a TruGreen note on the door that said my yard needed renovation to remove a grass they could not control! That is total bull! Trugreen sold a service yet never once mentioned about a full renovation of the lawn until I complained about the service.
Trugreen told me they would send out 2 free services that would rectify the problem and never showed. Trugreen claimed that I cancelled services. I never cancelled Trugreen. I stopped services until a manager came out and the promised “free” treatments were done.
After a season of service and the dozens of TruGreen's phone solicitations to sell more expensive treatments I filed a complaint with the BBB. TruGreen refused a refund though they have refunded others. Stay away from TruGreen and avoid them like a plague. Trugreen lies, sells unneeded and unwanted services, charge for services not performed and will leave your yard in appalling condition.

When asking the service tech on the next visit he said "they just tell me what to do and I do it , whether you needed it or not " I choose true green due to living in a rural area and not having many choices. I will be canceling my service is immediately due to the following rip off that they try to do to me. On two separate occasions I was contacted by telephone by true green lawn services, in regards to needing a special treatment for disease on my ornamental bushes. On both occasions when telling the caller that I have no ornamental bushes and that I suspected they were trying to churn additional services where none were needed, I was told "we're sorry we must have the wrong customer number" I should've told them go ahead and do the treatment and just seeing how far they will go !!! On the last call I actually called out the person making the call, I could tell that he knew he was being dishonest. This company plays on the lack of knowledge of its customers, to sell them products that may or may not be sprayed. I suspect in most cases that the treatments are absolutely minimal as in My yard has gotten worse using their services. I used to maintain it myself just buying fertilizers and yard Pest control products from the big box stores and applying them myself with much better results and a lot less money. I highly recommend, if you are being told you need any additional services from true Green you are being ripped off. Call another company and get a second opinion and when they tell you you're being ripped off go with the new company .

I have sent pictures by text of my yard for months to send to John. And yet - this gentleman never shows up. (- And I have text trails of dates and people that promised he would call.) I have talked to so many people there!
The products - are not good. I believe the grass seed this year they put down is not a viable product. This company used to be ChemLawn and they have tweaked mother nature so much that, I believe that every year is shot in the dark to see if that years grass seed will actually grow in a yard as compared to a lab. Guess what - this years seed - an absolute DISASTER.
Oh, 2 years in a row - I have requested seeding and the previous year - my entire yard was not seeded. Last year, the front portion was not seeded but the side and back were. Funny thing - the front is the ONLY part that looks good. Sod that we put in ourselves 5 years ago - which again leads me to the conclusion that TruGreen seed is VERY POOR IN QUALITY. Also, I love depending on a company that is 100% unreliable. If you are hired to seed - SEED THE LAWN!
DO NOT GET TRUGREEN - if you are considering it - Please go to the bank, withdraw 1,000$ in 100$ bill increments and flush it down the toilet quickly. Then go dig bare spots in your yard, transplant some weeds into it and enjoy the sensation of TruGreen lawn care success: EXPENSIVE TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF YOUR YARD. You can be the laughing stock of your neighborhood when they put their company sign on the embarrassing mess that THEY create.

I subscribed to TruGreen initially to keep the weeds in my lawn under control. Initially the technician did a decent job of this; however, when the lawn started getting bald spots I purchased every recommended remedy only to see the lawn further deteriorate. I provided photographs of my lawn which looked like a golf course green before I began using TruGreen and begged them to get it back into that condition.
I have both broadleaf grass (St. Augustine) and narrow leaf grasses (Centipede and Bermuda). A greenskeeper friend told me that it appears that the same herbecide for broadleaf grasses was used on the entire lawn resulting in the bald spots. Following the advice and extra treatments did nothing to improve the lawn.
Even though I request notification of visits so I can unlock the gate to my back lawn a technician came by and forced open my automatic gate causing over $500 damage for which I was compensated only two treatments.
One of these treatments was an application of the recommended lime to the front yard on February 16, 2017 but as noted on the report not on the back which was also needed. I finally paid for the lime treatment and cancelled my service. Since then, my lawn seems to be improving.
Cancelled service 4/21. The following Monday HATEFUL worker showed up to spray. He was mean when I told him it was cancelled. Tuesday I get a call..voicemail...telling me when they would be there Wednesday. Mind you I cancelled the previous Friday. (Should have my refund 3-5 business days). I called. Apparently it was not cancelled properly. Nor the refund. So....fast forward to Thursday...still no refund so I call. What refund?? Yep not properly processed. So here it is Monday.....10 days after the fact....still no refund. I do have the info they have but it's not gone through. Huntington has 24/7/365 customer service that will credit it as soon as it hits. Sooooo these crooks are drawing interest on my $568. Wrong!! I need a full refund and then some.
Company performed first service to remove weeds and fertilize. I think they gave the lawn weed growth treatment! Part of my lawn started to turn yellow. I asked for a visit to discuss the issue and no one came.
TruGreen bought Scotts lawn Service. I heard they had a good reputation. If they did, they sure ruined it. Do not contract with this firm. I found a local firm that is much better. Check around for local, not national firms.
Trugreen has done paint damage to my home. They said they would come and get the stains off my house the first time I complained about their spray discoloring my house & fence. They sprayed my lawn and it got onto my house; I didn’t notice it right away because I have cataracts. I called them a few months later to tell them about what I noticed about the paint being scraped and faded. They were the only ones doing work in my yard. There was a denial with doubt that they did this so I asked them to come look at it. I spoke to Ed, in the Orlando office and General Manager. The General Manager was not helpful at all.
Yes, someone came to look at my home and said he does notice the faded paint but had a rude attitude. Not only did the manager come to look at my house, but on that same day, a tech from Trugreen left me a message on the phone saying he was coming by to take stains off my house. What stains? Trugreen already scrubbed it off before, and that was my complaint. Why is the tech coming again leaving a note saying he came to take off stains? I could not stop this because I was at work when he left a message on my phone at home. It was too late when I got home, more paint was scrubbed off!! The wall all around my house where they sprayed is now scraped and paint has faded discoloring my house more. I called and requested that technician, Ricardo P., to call me about what he did. I have kept his note he left me when he came to "Remove Stains" which he wasn't suppose to. NO stains... I called several times but never heard from him or any managers after that.
My house was newly painted a couple years before with good paint. It is looks noticeably scraped on the bottom sides all around the house where there were stains from their spray. I have proof and I have been ignored after another mistake has been made. I am still furious after the way this company handled my complaint. Yes, it's been a while but I will never forget. The house still shows what they did. I would have to paint it, however, having a bad back prevents me and I don’t want to pay for what they did. I would show this house to anyone thinking of using Trugreen.
The managers and General Manager in the Orlando area failed to get back to me after leaving messages and letting them know that they did it again. Very rude people and they do not care... I will preach to everyone about their terrible services and will post my complaints.
Another salesperson stopped by my home seeking business. I was angry and told him never would I like Trugreen to step on my property again. I showed him the results of the damage and he took photos of it and a photo of the note left from Ricardo and said he would take it back to his office. I told him that it wouldn't do any good. They have ran away with what they did to me. Sure enough, no one called me from their office.
I was treated badly. I can not list all details here but I can say that the managers are not professionals or customer oriented. They only care about getting monies anyway hey can.
