My office got a call from this plumber asking about a job we needed done.
I thought it was our normal plumber who I had called about two issues we were currently having.
Nino (not sure if that's his real name) came over and I showed him the job.
My first red flag should have been the mini-tool kit he brought over.
It wasn't big enough to fit a plumber wrench or proper tools.
After about 2 hours he said he was finished, and that he had fixed everything.
He said he had to shut off one of the bathroom water lines as something he had fixed
had to dry and that he would come back the next day to make sure it didn't leak and then turn it back on.
He asked for payment which was $1689 on an invoice.
I immediately questioned it as he had not done that much work.
He said it wasn't $1689 but $689.
It was still more than what it should have been but we payed him with a company check and he said be back the next day.
That next morning, he called our staff to ask if the check was good.
When I got into my office I called him but it went immediately to a Google VM number.
The afternoon rolled around and he still hadn't shown up.
I called him several more times but he never picked up.
I then went into check the bathroom he worked on. I turned on the water lines and found they were leaking.
What he was suppossed to repair wasn't fixed either.
I kept trying the number and left several messages but he never came back or returned my phone calls.
