On 6/20/20 we drove 2 and a half hours to the Triple M Motors dealership in search of a vehicle for our 18yr old daughter so she could get back and forth to college. We arrived and test drove a few different vehicles, we ended up buying 2 cars, the Jeep Patriot we purchased has been nothing but a problem to us. When we purchased this vehicle it came with a "warranty" that cost over $2,000 dollars called CENTENNIAL this warranty claims to cover any of the major systems to get them repaired. Well they will not cover the steering components, so their "warranty" is a joke.
After buying the Jeep two days later we had to replace the battery. Then before the paper plate ran out (45 days) we were having issues with it leaking fluid. We took it into a shop and they told us the power steering hoses were taped up to keep them from leaking plus it had an oil leak AND both right and left tie rod ends and ball joints in the front end where bad (which are major steering components and can cause a bad accident if they fail) plus they said the front tires were dry rotted and one of them had fix a flat in it.
It took awhile for us to be able to get the Jeep back in the shop for repairs, the first repair to replace the power steering hoses and cooler cost us almost $600 dollars. A week later we ended up getting it into another mechanic to get the tie rods and ball joints done and that has cost us around $1,000 dollars.
I got on the dealers facebook page and posted a message to them about our issues with the Jeep, someone responded and said if we would call they would work something out with us. Well I have sent them private messages asking for them to pay the partial cost of the bill once I send them all the reciepts and I have been ignored.
I am just posting this as a way to get the message out to people that the dealer Triple M Motors in Saint John Indiana is not the place you want to purchase your childs first vehicle from or ANY vehicle for that matter.
