I booked a hotel stay with them last summer & when we had a family situation come up we had to cancel the reservation. I emailed them before the the booking date occurred to cancel the reservation & they said they would reach out to the hotel to request the cancellation and if it was cancelled, provide me with a refund.
Over the next 6 months I followed up with them time & time again to see the status of the refund & they just kept saying "we have contacted the hotel and are awaiting a reply back...". They never stopped saying that despite over a dozen attempts to get updates so finally in contacted the hotel directly & they said TravelUp never even attempted to contact them to cancel the reservation.
When I confronted them about it Mario Eric at TravelUp said he wasn't going to issue me a refund & that there are nothing they could do for me. The fact is that they never planned to do anything for me and strung me along for 6 months regarding a fake refund they never intended to give.
I have seen many reviews regarding Travel-Up. The good reviews mostly come from customers who are lucky enough to have nothing to go wrong. The bad reviews seem to center around trying to obtain any sort of refund. I now know why. I had a hotel reservation scheduled for 11/24/2021. Travel-Up charged my card for $634.67.
A family emergency forced me to cancel on 11/23/2021. Both Travel-Up and the hotel were personally notified by me of the cancellation. Now almost 2 months later I am still receiving lame excuses such as "we are having difficulty with our supplier" and have received NOTHING as a refund. Their customer service is among the worst I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and do not book any travel with this company.

After promising a refund the company has continued to not honor their promises, but rather provide one lame excuse after another. In my opinion, this company is a scam run by liars and cheaters. Under no circumstances should you trust or do any business with TravelUp.
