On the 21st July 2022. Myself, partner and daughter we were supposed to travel to Sierra Leone for a family holiday. Upon check-in my partner was denied to board the flight because he needed a transit visa which we were not informed by the travel agency.
At the Airport we contacted our travel agent they (Daisy) advised us to speak to the immigration officer to mark us on our ticket as NOT, a no show, which the immigration officer marked this against our ticket, as this is the only way our travel agency (travel junction) can issue us a new ticket.
Since Thursday 21/07/22 we have been in constant contact with the Airline (Air France) and the travel agency (Travel Junction) to try and resolve this issue/matter. The Airline company (Air France) has stated that the travel agency (travel juncrion) can book us a new ticket or request a voucher equivalent to the full ticket price.
The travel agency (travel junction) stated the we need to buy a full new tickets if we want to travel or request a written email from the Airline (Air France) to confirm the above information. According to Air France they cannot send email to us directly because we bought the ticket from a third party (travel junction-travel agency).
Since 21/07/22 this has caused us a lot of stress as this is our first family holiday and our daughter has been looking forward to seeing her grandparents and other family members.
We have been working tirelessly to save the ticket price of £3505, which involved us working over time to save this amount.
We are kindly requesting support and advice.
