Travelers Insurance Reviews

  • Dec 23, 2022

Whatever you do, never purchase Business Owners Insurance from Traveleres Insurance Company, because these con-artists will weasel out of every claim that you could possibly provide.

They are liars, cheaters, thieves, scumbags and deceivers.

They will take your premiums each and every month, but then not cover you when you need their assistance the most.

The especially worst Claims Analyst there, is Janet Trajbar, sometimes called Janet “Trash-bar” by those around her back.

This woman Janet Trajbar epitomizes everything that’s wrong with the property and liability insurance industry, especially at Travelers Insurance.

So do you yourself a favor and skip by, when Travelers Insurance name comes up when it’s time to choose an insurance policy.

If ever in need of Insurance do NOT even consider Travelers Insurance OR Goosehead Insurance Agency of Dallas. We bought a home last July 2020 and at the recommendation of our lender purchased our home insurance from Travelers through Jordan Thurston and agent for Gooshead Insurance Agency in Dallas Texas. We were then told if we bundled insurance and moved our Car Insurance to Travelers we would be saving money. It was a HUGE mistake to believe these people as they have incredibly horrible customer service and will not even return a phone call or e-mail once you buy their policy. In fact, Travelers doesn't even want you bothering them at all. If you have issues you go through whatever agency they RIP YOU OFF through, in our case Goosehead Insurance Agency. They of course in Travelers Pocket, work for Travelers best insurance and could litertally care less about their customers.

Now I could detail 9 months of misery with each of these companies. But after so many issues we had finally had enough of their continual harrassment, threats, outrageous rude demands and of course total lack of communication or effort from our "agent". So we informed them of our intent to cancel, and began a search for a new agency. Goosehead immediately contacted us and assigned us a new agent. Our search continued, but gave them a chance (Lord knows why). Our new agent did seem to actually give a good effort but came back with much higher rates for us to change from Travelers to any other Insurance Carrier. We on the other hand land great quotes from other Providers and signed with Allstate at an even lower rate and better coverage than previously provided.

After PAYING Allstate and activating our New Policy, we then advised our agent with Gooshead of the change and in effect FIRED both Goosehead and Travelers. We also made it clear that our Auto Insurance was also cancelled and the AUTO DEDUCTION taken each month was to be cancelled as well. We were informed the policies were cancelled and we would receive a refund for any difference, a check cut from our Mortgage Company released from escrow to us to make changes and reestablish escrow with Allstate. Usually, when dealing with Insurance that's pretty standard and EASY Stuff. But what it does for us is PROVE that setting up Auto Deductions is something people should avoid. Especially with companies like Gooshead and Travelers that do NOT care about their customers, operate in an ethical fashion, or even operate in an an honest manner.

Despite SEVERAL e-mails, Travelers deducted their usual charge from our checking account right on schedule for a Policy canceled days before. This despite a voice mail message from Gooshead (one day prior) assuring us the policies were canceled and we would NOT be charged further. While alo stating that check from Escrow would be sent to us together with any refund amount owed. Now whether we receive the Escrow check or refund only time will tell. Based on literally everything else these inept idiots have done I would bet on problems. But my primary complaint is with the FRAUD and WIRE THEFT made by Travelers this morning. The particular account used for this auto deduction is one we use for weekly account payment use. So, by STEALING money from our account they now easily could cause one or more legitimate charges EXPECTED to be paid to be returned due to insufficient funds. Not bcause we didn't have the money, but because Goosehead and Travelers STOLE it even after being instructed not to!!

Now this report is only the beginning as we are not just upset or pissed, we're d**n MAD!! I intend to sue these clowns, report them to every State and Federl Agency I can think of and maybe even start a social media group dedicated to them and then alone where people can psot their ecperiences. Gooshead I know only has a 2 star rating and hundreds of bad reviews and complaints. Traverls I'm sure hides theirs but I'll figure out a way to provide them the public feedback they too deserve. Bottom line here for the public, DO NOT do business with either company. Once you sign with them they will treat you like pure crap, not return your phone calls or emails, ignore, belittle, threaten and provide you with nothing but misery.

On January 30, 2017 My home was buglarized while I was at work. I received a phone call around 7 am from a neighbor saying my garage was opened. I knew I closed it and verified my thoughts with the neighbor across the street who happens to be a Police Offiecer. Until that morning I had no knowledge of that because they hadn't lived there long. The Police Officer confirmed with another Officer that when he came home around 630 am my garage was closed but when he came back a bit before 7am it was open. I had left for work at 622 am.

First Travelers tried to state that my home was not broken into and then later they tried to say they denied my claim because I had returned a bracelet that was claimed. I showed the evidence showing that statement was false. I contacted the Georgia Insurance Commissioner Office and afterwards they reopened the claim. Since then I have had to hire a attorney and I am still fighting with them today.

I filed a police report with the missing items, showed receipts for some of the items that I had, showed pictures of the items in my possession. I told the Police Detective who I think stole my property. His response was this isnt T.V we cant get finger prints off the walls, door knobs or wood. A 65' HDTV was stolen out of my livingroom, and a 55'HDTV was stolen out of my bedroom. Those Televisions alone would have required the person to touch the walls to unplug them or to get their balance.

The other items stolen were other electronic devises, 2 other smaller T.V's , Jewelry, and leather jackets. My policy was only for $10,000 but the items stolen was valued at over $28,000. I don't care if I had the receipts or not I was able to show where the items was in my home. My friend who use to work for travelers says they get bonuses to deny claims. A company should not be able to choose not to pay a claim because they have unanswered questions. Any opportunity I had to clear up any questions I was more than willing to answer questions. The adjuster never called me back to ask any additional questions and in fact I feel that my claim was denied as a form retailiation. Almost 45 days after I filed my claim I got no answers just the run around so i called Mr. Voguel's supervisor and 5 minutes later he called me and said we are denying your claim. We aren't talking about peanuts here. How does the law say what the insurance companys does is fair. Where is the justice.

last year I had a rough year my home was burlarized, my engagement ring came up missing, and I had a car accident. I am just tired of Company's abusing their power. If I was a rich person I wouldn't have been treated this way. I shouldn't have to forfeit 40% of what they might pay just because I had to hire a attorney to fight for my rights.

It has take me this long to file this report beause I hoped they would have been paid by now but they haven't so I want to help others not to make the same mistakes as I did.

For starters take photos and document all serial numbers for electronic devises. Take Videos of your property. I also want to add that Travelers tried to tie my break in to my house to another case I was dealing with for my kids. I was literally fighting for my life and my kids lives and because of that she assumed my insurance claim was fraud. She said I needed the money to hire a attorney. I showed her that my attorney for that case was paid in full. I showed her my taxes where I almost got $40,000 back plus before I moved to Georgia I was making $48,000 a year.

This ripoff is regarding Travelers Insurance Company and Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union refusal to pay a Homeowners Insurance claim for personal property damage resulted in sewage backup on my property. Their adjuster visited the daqamaged property took pictures they paid part of the claim related to the structural damage and they have refused to pay the damage to the personal property that was lost in the event. Mr Mark DiPaola their manager is refusing to pay for the claim and if necessary I will sue them.
