They were called out to replace 2 used wheels and mount our tires, after falsely reporting our spare was no good, they proceeded to charge me $1139 for two tire mounts and a tire. Stay as far away from travel centers of america as possible, all they do is rip you off!!!
I try to get a job at the Baltimore TA truck stop and the headquarter of Travel Center of America LLC is discriminating against me. Because when I work for them 12 years ago as a tech I got sick with diabetes and I couldn't work on the trucks an I was very weak. I felt that I was more of a liability then an asset. So I told the manager I had to stop working. Now the TA Truck stop headquarter are refusing to hire me. This company really showing me that they really don't care about their employees health they still want you to work until you die .
Charged 2 flat rate fees on single tire repair. Is normally a flat rate to remove wheel, unmount tire, and remount then reinstall. Had tires repaired previously with multiple nails and was charged the flat fee plus extra time and materials for the extra nail. This TA decided both nails were to be charged as separate flat rate fees. In other words they decided to get paid for the one tire removal, unmounting, remounting, reinstalling TWICE. And charged for each patch and shop fees separately as well. That's 90% of the job, is mere minutes to do second patch. The bill was $160 for patching 2 nail holes on one tire.
Firt they tried to up charge me on an oil change asking 450 when the sign was saying oil change for $199 the response was what do care its Fedex and i explained im a Fedex contractor and its my truck and they said oh ok we can do it 243 because of the filter upcharge which i understood while changing my oil they broke my oil pan and blamed it on freightliner even though the mechanic admitted to fault to another mechanic in front of me the other mechanic told him "F" that just say it was already broken i went to manager and complained he told me it back to florida or we can fix it and they will give me a discount i argued the fact i shouldnt have to pay for something that wasnt broken and they said ill will apply a discount i laughed and argued i called corporate they never responded back erick hernandez (assistant GM) said he felt bad and gave me a free oil change paper and told me that if i ever need an oil change just hand the paper over to another ta and have them call to verifiy which at the time i was upset and said i will never come back to TA again and he said keep it in case i went to TA in east greenwhich RI today where once again it wasnt honored.....personally TA is the worst place of business ever their mechanics work off of comission so they try and up sell and take advantage of drivers so they could fatten theor checks of anothers misfortune to me they thrive off of your needs because as truckers you dont have much options so they can do as they please....today the GM in east greenwhich RI tried to charge me $80 for a mud flap and bend the bar back a little and was upset when his employee only chrged me 69 he threatened to take the commission off of him....seems to be a cut throat company with no care or regard towards customers....
