Transportation Firm Reviews
Being an independent owner operator I was getting uninformal loads on a text and loads was double broker. A second filling is under way for those brokes, Arab Cartage and Express AR; Rehmann Transportation Corporation. I was paid with a EFS comformation number on emails. I am still waiting on two contract work to be paid since October 2014. Also a $2500 escrow is way over due. All paperwork is turned in by priority mail. Small claims court max is $3500 for suit so Hernando county has to be filled with larger amount. A attorney must fill the paperwork for a very high fee so they do not want to take the case. FMCSA and BBB has been filed. FMCSA will intervene if more complaints are filled.
Where shall I begin, First off after being employed by The Transportation Firm I had to pay for the bus ticket and the drug test in which was taken out of my pay for quite some time. At first my pay was coming in regularly, then it was once every two to three weeks. There were loads in which I was not paid for at all and loads that were paid after a period of time non consistent with when they were to be paid.
As it is right now, I am owed over 900.00 dollars and have not gotten any response as to when I will get my pay. As for my dispatcher Tony, he was totally confusing as to the loads needing to be picked up time wise and when they were to be delivered time wise. He was constantly texting me as to my E.T.A. and causing me to be late picking up loads and delivering loads.
This company was charging me out the ying yang on taxes, federal taxes I can see being taken out, but taking taxes for a state in which I do not live in is just wrong. I was shut down for ten hours for being over my alotted hours and this company charged me double the fine. The fine was around 200.00 and I was charged over 400.00. In which was their fault for forcing me to run over my allotted hours.
They say there is no forced loads, nor loads to New York, Both are lies. Right now I am trying to gain employment with another company, but cannot do so without verification from this company. They are refusing to verify. They are refusing to pay me what is owed me. As for home time, it was to be 7 to 10 days out and then home. I spent well over 30 days out and had to constantly remind my dispatcher that I had put in to be home on several occassions.
My advice to anyone looking into working for these folks, Don't do it no matter how desparate you are for work.
