I bought a used part with a 30-day "warranty." It was installed a few days later by a certified mechanic, but it was defective - completely non-operational. I called Trade Center and reported that the part they sold me was no good. I had to wait until my next payday to buy a good part and afford to have the defective one they sold me taken off when the new one was installed - I could not afford to pay for 2 separate appointments. The mechanic advised me not to drive the vehicle, and so the defective part was not used, even for one day! When I tried to get a refund or at least a "store credit," manager Dana Perez said absolutely not, because she said both I and the certified mechanic were likely "lying" about whether or not the part had been used, and since it was 37 days since the purchase, I was "out of luck." Manager Dana Perez then stated: "those are the risks when buying a used part." I think Trade Center will come up with any reason to keep from refunding money, because I think they know they are often times selling defective parts, and it is my opinion that they could be selling the same parts over and over again, to fleece their customers. I think there are so many people struggling financially to "save a buck" by buying used auto parts, that Trade Center can continue to scam customers with impunity. I have since learned of other customers who have been denied refunds, even when returned within the so-called warranty period. Trade Center's warranty is worthless, and so are they!
