Beware of Traction Tire or Traction Tire and Alignment in Vaughan/Woodbridge, ON. They are running a criminal enterprise, using unqualified workers and installing dangerous substandard products that, when unproperly installed can and will endanger the lives of you and your family/passengers.
This business, if you want to call it that should be investigated and shut down for the following alone, in addition to many others not listed:
1. -Unqualified Workers
This shop does not employ a single licensed mechanic and uses young unskilled labour to work on vehicles. These shop hands should never be able to touch a single vehicle destined for public roads. They often do not balance properly, torque the tires properly as the only installtion tool they use is a powered impact gun. When not smoking they can be found making constant mistakes that would never be allowed to pass in any reputable tire shop.
2. -Fraudulent Invoicing
There is a reason that Traction invoices lack details reqired by law. Most of the time if you receive a quote prior to coming in they either don’t have the product you ask for in reality or will sell you what they do have at an increased price. The business also has no signage or legal name on anything linked to the physical building. There is a reason for this.
3. -Substandard Garbage Products
Traction sells many garbage used tires, often remove from other vehicles serviced in the same shop and then reinstalls them on other cars. These tires are usually cleaned up to concel cracks, previous repairs, other defecets and listed as having 80%+ tread life left in only listings, but most are only no more than 35%-50%.
4. -Questionable Ownership/Management
The main owner/manager John, a pathalogical liar who will never look anyone in the eye, usually seems like he’s under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He writes hundreds of fake reviews online to boost his business rankings anywhere that the traction name can be found, lies in responses and usually just posts a generic followup that fails to accurately respond to any allegations from actual concerned customers. This business runs off of volume and by undercutting whoever they can by selling garbage tires. While they also have a few new tires in stock most of the product on the racks 5+ years old. Always look for the DOT sticker date (year end) before purchasing and inspect the actual remaining tread life.
By doing business with this company you risk your own life, the lives of your family and any other passengers in your car or elsewhere on the road.
