TR Garland Reviews
After receiving an email from TR Garland out of nowhere regarding his class, I signed up for his 10-day free trial. I then emailed him to ask about the class and seconds later my home phone rang. It was TR Garland ensuring me that his Linkedin class is exactly what I need in order to get clients for my business. I signed up for his class after checking that he offers a money back guarantee.
I have taken many online classes and can say that TR Garland's Linkedin class is inferior in quality to most other online classes I've taken and TR Garland is by far the most deceptive and flakey instructor. He shows off a picture of himself together with Brian Tracy, clearly trying to gain credibility for himself, but at the same time tarnishing Brian Tracy's reputation.
TR Garland promised that people who sign up by a certain date would receive a free coaching session valued at $1,000. First, it is laughable that a one-hour session with him would be worth $1,000. Second, I never received the free session although I did pay the $997 prior to the date required.
In the class description it said that we would get two webinars per week, one of them would be taught by TR Garland and the other by Tamarie Tigh whom he refers to as his "concierge". TR Garland was absent most weeks and didn't teach the class as he was supposed to. He had all kinds of excuses for why he wasn't able to teach. His father in law got sick, then his own father got sick, then TR himself and his family got sick. On top of it, TR's daughter was doing a project that he was helping her with and this too was a reason for why he wasn't able to teach the class I had paid for.
After all these unfortunate events that the flakey TR Garland had to deal with, he left town for one month. He had run out of content for the class I had paid $997 for. The class was supposed to be 12 weeks long. It started on October 10th, 2017 and it was reasonable to assume that it would end in January 2018. Because of the lack of content, the class was going to go through March or April in order to give TR Garland time to get content for a class that he had already charged the class participants for.
About ten days after the class started, I knew that the class was very confusing and thin in content and that you can get better content free of charge online. I asked for my money back in writing. I received a very lengthy email back saying I can't get my money back. I asked for my money back 7-8 more times and each time I received a very lengthy, often rude, email back. TR Garland claimed that I don't want to do the work, he even accused me of lying. Not once did he address the fact that he didn't teach the class he was supposed to teach, nor did he ever address the fact that he ran out of content in the middle of the class which made the class twice as long as it was supposed to be.
After he left town for one month I emailed him several times to ask for my money back. He responded that he will email me when he gets back in town. I didn't hear from him so I posted in the class Facebook group asking where he is why he isn't responding. He then excluded me from the Facebook group, supposedly because I was being negative. He clearly didn't want the other class participants to read that I was questioning why he isn't responding to emails.
Do yourself a favor and do some research before signing up for any of TR Garland's classes. He is incredibly flakey, as well as arrogant and unprofessional. He gets rude very quickly as supposed to trying to resolve problems. His very lengthy emails are very confusing where he is going around the problem without ever addressing it.
Lastly, pay attention to his money back guarantee. it's worded in a very slick way. You have to complete his class in order to ask for your money back. Just saying that the class is not good and is a waste of your time isn't enough. Also, because he didn't have content for the class, I would have had to endure six months as supposed to three months of the class. I decided it was better to lose the $997 than waste my time.
