The script is always the same. It starts out with an email from an “executive recruiter” trying to fill various c-level positions by way of random email it seems. You’re always referred to as a “very credible candidate” and ask you to send them an updated resumé to be considered.

Once you send any response at all (I sent a screen shot of the email from the last bozo who sent me the same scam) a second imaginary jag off sends an email saying it is in response to the email you had sent in reply to the initial dimwit. Of course they mention they can’t seem to upload it to their system so they’re not sure what the problem is and to try sending another copy to see if that helps.

Upon sending any response at all to that, such as a suggestion to go play in traffic, they respond that they have checked with their colleague and direct you to try to figure out what the problem is by way of https://www.resumereviews.net. There is always a time pressure component in this email as well saying they have a call scheduled with the client the next week to pressure you into acting before thinking.

After a few additional days if you reply you get some bogus email saying they just got off the phone meeting with the client and unfortunately the deal fell through due to some “conflict of interest”.

This appears stylistically very similar to the old Jim Zak ([email protected]) of Renaissance Recruiting scam back in 2016. The last email especially citing some random conflict of interest and no need for a phone call. That one also included some phony 12 month non disclosure agreement pdf to sign. This scam used LinkedIn to make it seem legit using a profile at

https://www.linkedin.com/in/james-zak-recruiter

These all appear to be just phony scams to sell resume services and templates to those desperately seeking jobs.
