Personally, I have lost only $5 to the game because you can convert to a free player; however, no game time allowed either way. Since there is nothing to prevent the new player attack in the future - it makes no sense to at all.
Torn gladly takes your money and does nothing to assure your capability to play the online game. Taking money for services not provided is fraud.
